Just purchased v3 ap few questions help!

hey guys im currently running Tial bov, ets intake, ets upper and lower ic piping, ets v2 catback with turbo xs testpipe & ams widemouth downpipe, i recently purchased the cobb v3 accessport, i was told that its easy to set upp, however.

i was told by a tuning shop that the cobb runs different for all cars? And that it must be tuned different for all cars? What im asking is do i need a shop to tune it with the ap? Or can i do it myself without worrying about tearing my car up, or wrongly tuning it?

The Cobb OTS maps are kind of a one size fits all type situation so they are generally conservative. The VTA blow off valve and test pipe will throw off the tune but just keep an eye on your boost and AFR. Also, if you don't already have a boost and AFR gauge setup, get one because the Access-port readings aren't accurate. I'd recommend building the car you want it and then get a Cobb pro-tune when you're done so its specific for your car.

I forgot to mention, make sure you use the MAF scaling that Cobb provides for the ETS intake. It's very easy and is done through Accesstuner, which is a free download.

Then you need to get the intercooler first and then get a pro tune.

"protune" just means getting your car tuned (i think the term was started by subaru guys. maybe Cobb guys. i dunno LOL), if that's what you are asking. must of us just call it a tune. hit up the tuner of your choice. for my subarus and evos, i use the guy in my sig: Jay @ Boosted Tuning. he can do email tunes, so you don't even need to travel.
a larger FMIC will make a difference and i'd wait until you installed it, so you don't have to tune the car twice.

as for the BOV (assuming it's VTA), if you are still using a MAF sensor, your car will go really rich between shifts. if you don't mind the decrease in performance, you may be okay as it's only for a second. i don't think it would wash out the cylinders too bad.
unless you swap to speed density, that is. then a BOV works fine. if yours recirculates, then never mind LOL

good luck, man!
