Few Questions for a newly purchased Evo9

Hi guys. I purchased a evo 9 back in November had put in my garage over the winter and took out to drive it recently. Its a 650WHP beast fully build by Buschur racing and tuned by House of Power. Running on Buschur Racing 2.3L kit on E85. Heres my questions. 1- I notice the oil pressure on this car is higher then normal. At start up it can go from 90-110 PSI. During acceleration it ranges from 100-120psi and onces warmed up it can idle around 50-70Psi. Reason why I'm looking into the oil pressure is because the turbo oil return line bolts got losse and popped off while I was driving home. I put it back in and changed the oil on the car but there is oil spills in most places. I cleaned up everywhere but the turbo blanket might be soaked with oil. Would you simply replace it or remove it and clean it and reuse it? Last question is when I accelerate right before the turbo kicks in the engine light would flashes a few times. Is that normal on a tuned car?

I appreciate all the help and answers !

thanks!

Your check engine light flashes? That's not normal that I'm aware of. Did you check to see if there's a code?

No codes. the tuner that tuned the car email me back saying its a knock. Right now it runs on E85. Its got a dual map set up I might switch it over and see if it does the same with pump gas. If it does then I most likely would need a retune. But ive also heard that some knocks happens so it can make bigger power on top end.

Your tuner is probably using the check engine light as a knock indicator. I would have your tune checked out, but yes you can clean and reuse your turbo blanket. Knock should never be "ok" to happen and that is not something you have to compromise. It can be tuned out with the right fuel, timing, and boost.

Edit: looks like I posted after you updated your post.

Pull some logs. Also check to see if anything is banging around in the bay that could create some false knock. Do you feel the car back off when you get the CEL flash? Like its pulling timing? If the car has been sitting make sure you don't have any broken vac lines or cracked vac lines give the car a good look and check all hoses and vac lines also listen for any noises that could be setting off the knock sensor. then you can do a few logs and see how much knock you are getting.

I cleaned up everywhere but the turbo blanket might be soaked with oil.
That sounds like something that could be a fire risk.
