Evo X Final Edition : cobb APv3 does NOT work on all models and Cobb is not saying

All, bought a Cobb APv3 direct from an authorized retailer-
it does not recognize my car's ecu or ROM, i filled out the unrecognized data and rom dump per :
http://www.cobbtuning.com/support/v3...nloading-roms/

Figured I would call Cobb just to see if they were already aware of the issue
"Yes we're aware, no time frame on when the maps will be updated. Submitting the dumps is of the most help to us"
Ok, so I asked why wasn't this information published on their official site or to vendors that it doesn't work on all FE's, as I'm sure I'm not the only one then if he was already aware of the issue.
"yeah it does work on most of them, just not some, so we didn't say anything."

I realize that this is not COBB engineers fault who code the AP's, as things changed on the ecu coding from Mitsu -
but a very unprofessional response from them regarding the lack of information considering I (and I'm sure others) have spent $500 for their product which is completely useless.

Anyways, a heads up to all FE owners.

C, that's why i never buy their AP shxt lol. U need a pro-tune since every car is diff and every car runs in a diff environment/conditions. Their hardwares (pipes etc) do have good quality though, my 2c.

I've been calling Cobb every week, as my AP is basically a paperweight right now. The FE support was suppose to happen by the end of January, but as of the other day, I was told that its on the backburner, as in they're working on it in between other projects, so it'll probably be another couple of weeks... I'll give them the extra couple of weeks, but after that, its getting sold.

Anything you heard specifically from one individual? Maybe there will be more accountability with names involved.

The current AP does not recognize the FE rom, so it can't be pro tuned, as I understand.

I've talked to a few people, but its not really their fault, they just answer the phone and don't make decisions, hence why I don't want to start throwing names out. I guess Cobb wasn't expecting the FE's to have a different rom, and being 1600 are coming into the US, and even a smaller number will be using their AP, its not exactly a priority. Yes, I am disappointed, but its business. As I said, I'll give them the extra two weeks, but after that, I'm selling the AP (not that they care) and making sure I buy nothing Cobb, ever.

Yeah as I mentioned before too, I understand this wasn't an issue seen beforehand, I was just really thoroughly off put by how they handled the communication of it
