Has anyone out there, self fixed the code p0171?
Ive called the Mitsubishi parts department & they said its more than likely a vacuum leak.
I've tried to use a leak detector solution in the engine bay while idling, and no luck finding the vacuum leak. Any suggestions would be great before i pass the car over to a mechanic.

I would recommend that you check and/or replace the boost lines going to the diverter valve and boost controller. If you are still using the stock ones, they could have worn out or there might be a crack in one of them. They are easy and cheap to replace with quality silicone hoses that won't wear out from being exposed to high underhood temperatures.
