11.232@123.806 stock turbo

Finally got some runs in, ten! Still stock turbo, did install 65mm Works TB, and more aggressive AEM tune, best mph was 124.406, ran three 124's, three high 123's, one 122, two 121's and one 120. Most runs were 11.3-11.5, this was done at Thompson Race Park in north east Ohio, lousy traction shot the chance for a 10, most 60's were 1.7xx, only two 1.6's for the day, spun bad every run even slipping the hell out of the clutch. Time for a long winter of making the car fast now.

Damn!! So the WORKS TB and tuning gave you another 2mph. Insane! 124mph from our stock turbo. I guess you're not going to shoot after 10s on the stock turbo any more.

Man all these new fangled Mitsu tuners are looking bad, imagine Curt is going 11.2 on a stock turbo. Looks like some of you tuners need to find a new job, I am sure this guy is doing this out of his garage.

Disclaimer : Just kidding.

Regardless of if the turbo is massaged, its still "Stock".. I know of Curt's exploits, if anyone can run a 10, he can.. 124mph, thats just amazing.

I don't understand why some people just cannot accept the fact that regardless of if his turbo is massaged, its still a stock-ish turbo..

I can imagine the crap you guys are going to give me when I finally make a few runs in april or may next year.

Works TB is a core exchange for stock.. It'll bolt to the stock manifold no problems..

http://www.worksevo.com/store/produc...products_id=30 $350 if you send your core.. $700 core charge if you don't send your core ahead of time..

Their the only company I'm aware of that offers a reworked throttlebody at the moment. Off topic post, if you want more info PM me since I plan on getting their throttlebody..

Works has two models now, I went with the 65mm vs the 62mm. The 62mm will work with the stock manifold with no modification, you will have to port to match for the 65mm. With the Magnus(Buschur) sheetmetal it is a easy direct swap, and yes it made a difference. Oh, when I say "ported turbo" that means I removed the stock turbo and port matched it to the exhaust manifold and O2 housing, took about an hour, not much to do on the EVO setup compared to the DSM 16g and 14b style turbo's.

Curt, I know you probably posted this in another thread, but what clutch are you running? I know my stocker won't hold up more than 2 or three runs when I finally get to shake down my car..

Those are some sick times for using a stocker turbo. My curiousity is peaked about what mods you've done to support it. Awesome driving obviously is #1. Did you use slicks or street tires for those times ?

Congratulations Curt. Some people already know of you, others will believe anything with little research on their own part. I studied. It is just mind-boggling that the stock turbo is capable of 124mph.

I vote for Curt to be listed as an Evom Guru.
