What happened to the purple car? That damn thing is fast...but the setup seems more sedate than that evo. Methanol and a more efficient turbo set up, it should be good for low 8s

Devo tuning has already ran lower that. I was at Great Lakes Dragway on August 31st, 2004 they ran an 8.77. I've got the vid to confirm, low quality but you can see the time. They are located in Barrington if I remember correctly...if I'm wrong I'm sure someone here can correct me.

Adams fastest backed up pass is a 9.1x. Its pretty much confirmed the 8.77 is a timing error since a .901 60' isnt feasable in a full unibody car. Great Lakes is notorious for timing errors.

Adam probibly WILL run 8s, hopefully this year. Hes got safety equipment and licensing to deal with before he can run even his current times in any sanctioned event. Plus Nopi has changed the rules so the cant run the tires he was using in Turbo 4 anyway, so that is going to slow him down bad, especially on 60' times.

 

He had slightly higher 8's after that run. His first was an 8.77...then an 8.8 something...then 8.9...then a 9.1. So the car IS that fast...just wasn't doing so great back to back.

 

Last time I talked to adam a few weeks ago, he said that the Car did ONE 8sec pass not several.

And he said that the 8sec run was NOT captured on Video.

But if you have that run, please send it to me as I would love to see it.
