Guy wants to race me for cash
I think you guys are blowing this wasy out of proportion. Those Hemi Magnums are quick, but not that quick. I'm sure the guy with the Hemi is probably underestimating the EVO and thinking there is no way a turbo 4 can beat his big bad 8-Cylinder Hemi. Well the owner of the Hemi may be in for some big time reality check.

just do it. get the mbc and fuel pump. pour some C-16 in the tank and raise the boost to a safe 22-23psi.
on another note. i have a good buddy that drives 1999-2000 lexus gs400 with spray and bolt-ons. he was changed by a guy in town with a fully built honda with spray. they raced last week for a $1000. my buddy worked this little honda. it is all about perseption. that guy thought that he couldn't take a heavy, heavy four luxury car with a 400 pound driver, guess again. just hope this guy with the hemi isn't on the bottle.

ok...this is completely rediculus! Assuming the dodge is stock, it run mod 14s to a best of MAYBE 13.9. 97-98mph
STOCK EVOS RUN 13.0-13.2 @ 100+
you have a traction advantage as well, so unless your completely incometent driver the evo should win hands down every time. you can bog the launch and get a 2.0 (about the best he could hope for) and walk past him anyway. get a 1.7 and the race is over at the 60'.
if the evo is modified, then it should be a real killing.
if this ram is modified and it happens to be a real "street racer" with $1000 trying to sucker you, it's doubtfull you would be able to find out anything about the car that would let you know it's modified. In this case, you could be completely screwed.
don't even think about putting nitrous on your evo now, or doing any "one time use" mods for this race. get some racegas, put a MBC and boost gauge in. with exhaust, racegas, 22psi you should run in the 12's @ 105+. If you can't beat a 14second car with a 12 second car.
If your asking us who would win, that means chances are you have no idea how fast your car is because you haven't been to the dragstrip yet.

This is what I have been saying all along. For some reason, even in this thread, people are being skeptical. I originally posted this as sarcasm but then I began to second-guess myself when people started telling me to build the car to run mid 12's just to beat a mid to high 14 second car.

DSMotorsport: Thank you for reaffirming my beliefs. BTW: It's not a Ram, it's the Magnum grocery-getter.
Lancerguy'03: I do not believe there is a blower out yet for the car. Correct me if I'm wrong. Kenne Bell won't do it due to the ECM not allowing any kind of boost.
