Evo at Sac Raceway ran 12.1
Just curious if your/he's on this board. It was a Silver Evo (wingless) with black powdercoated wheels. We seen him run 12.6 and 12.1 I had my Evo but didnt run. There were some very fast cars out there mostly domestic and all on nitrous. I'd say the average was in the 11's, with a lot running 9 and 10's. Including a SC'd Viper, that sounded stock and ran a 10.1, lol and a Camaro that looked stock and ran 9.7. Anyways it was pretty cool, just wondering if hes from this board.
Oh almost forgot there was an all out drag Mustang, with a huge turbo that ran 8.xx and that was letting off about 1/2 to 3/4 way down the track

Ya that was my wifes car. It was a new best. If only I could have gotten the 60' down I might have put it into the 11's. Maybe next time.
And ya there were some bad *** cars there last night. That was nicks ss that went 9.9 @ 139mph. That camaro puts down 720plus rwhp. And that modular mustang has gone 7.30's

Thanks, It has a cone filter, helix test pipe, rsr exhaust, an afc, and a manual boost controller set to 19 psi. I also put my compucar nitrous in a bag kit in it
I couldnt believe a dry 40 shot gave it 9mph.

BTW RaCerS, what were you launching at? One last Q...how do you like the Cobra compared to the EVO? We're actually looking at getting a Z06 (for the wife) and had testdrove the Cobra also. She fell in love with the Z06 though.

The z06 and the cobra are just two totally different cars. We had an 03 and it was a cool car. The cobra just has a monster of an engine. If you want to go really fast in a straight line get the cobra. If you enjoy hitting the back roads more than stick with the z06. Last time I had the cobra at the track it went 11.1 @ 133mph w/2.0 60'. That is still with the stock blower and longblock on drag radials. I love the cobra its a really fun car once you start modding it. But you really cant go wrong either way

Very Nice...What wheels are those? Im assuming thats on the bottle the 11.1? We drove both and feel more comfortable in the Z06. Its not going to be an all out drag car or anything, just the occasional street race
we figure we'll do the basic mods and that should be good enough. We were talking to the guy in the Red Z06 and he said he ran a 12.0 stock on drag radials.
Were looking to get a Yellow Z06 and I found a place that sells replica Z06 wheels that are Black with a polished lip, So I figure I'll buy 2 sets (at least rears) that way I can just swap out the rears when we go out to play. Heres a pic..

They are ccw's. The 11.1 was on a 60 shot (traction becomes a problem with the nitrous), but it has ran an 11.2 @ 126mph off the bottle.
I love the black wheels with the polished lip.
Our Z ran 12.2 bone stock, stock tires. They really good stock. With intake, cam, and long tubes it went 11.7 on the stock rubber and 11.4 on slicks.

Oh yeah and I was trying to lauch the evo around 5500rpms. I couldnt believe on the last pass the car got sideways leaving the line.

Man thats nice...Thats still 17's and 18's right? Im trying to decide if we should do 18's all around. That is lowered to correct? Man I cant wait to get it

Yep those are just the stock wheels powdercoated black with a machined lip. Dont do the 18's all the way around, my friend just did it and it looks funny to me. Thats as low as it will go on the stock setup, you can adjust the ride hieght on them stock
Cool, looks very good. Is it easy to lower? I havent really read up on how to do it, but I notice a lot of people do it. Lol, damn, that pic almost makes me want to get Silver
But I really like Yellow on cars, dont ask me why, I just love the way they look especially on a Z06
