I went to Byron Dragway about 3 weeks ago with my Vishnu Stage 1, Short Shifter, and K&N Typhoon Intake. I was kind dissapointed with my numbers, take a loook at give me your feed back. I thought I was going to pull faster 1/4 than what I got.
It was about 75-80F that day, first one I bogged off the line.

So does that mean that I didn't launch it at a high RPM. I really didn't want to dump in at 6K, I can't afford to break anything. So are these numbers normal or slow, I was expecting faster 13.0-13.2. What are others pulling with a vishnu stage 1?

Even though your 60FT is high and that will hurt your E.T.s, your trap speed is very low. You should trap much higher than that, especially on stage 1 Vishnu.

When I had the Xede and the turboback /w HF cat, I trapped at about the same speed. But I was also running stock boost (didn't hook up the Xede's boost control). Do you have cam gears? If not, you should be trapping about 2 mph more.

Yes I do have cam gears(-5/-5) as well as Xede(93Oct) Test Pipe. What gives? Boost leak? I am running the stock BOV. Could it be the after market intake?

Check for leaks and/or have your car checked out by professionals, I think something may be wrong. Your Trap Speed is pretty low in my opinion.

Considering the fact that you have both gears and a test pipe, you should be trapping at least 4 mph more than I did. That should put you in the 108 mph range.

Your E.T. matches the trap speeds you're getting, so that negates the possibility of error on the track end. (too many people have too much faith in the strip's timing equipment. They can be wrong sometimes.)

When I ran with that Stage 0 (xede, turboback), I trapped 104mph w/ a 1.7x 60' time, but had to granny shift into 2nd due to my trans not liking the Redline oil. Your 60' is not the greatest, but I bet you were able to make the 1-2 shift faster then me, so our times are pretty much equal, as are our trap speeds.

It's possible you have a boost leak somewhere. It's also possible that you had a bad tank of gas. (Not sure, but I think we're still using the winterblend crap.)

And, yes, your intake is probably leaning out the Xede's map, to the point of detonation. (are you using the Xede or Xflash?) If you're using the Xede and have a laptop handy, the next time you go to the track, try switching the map to one for 91 oct. That map should be a tad richer, which should help with the intake. If your traps go up, then you have your answer.
