I guess it was a coincidence that my highest traps 112-113 mph were when I had s hitty 60 fts caused by wheelspin( notice my 12.2 s were at 110-111 mph and not 112-113 mph). Now if u bog ur trapspeeds will be a lil lower. Think of it this way Azar. Wheelspin equals going nowhere vs. traction going somewhere. U are going to get to a higher spot in 4th at the end of the 1/4 due to staying in one place and runnin through first gear without going very far down the track. Not too hard to figure out if u think about it dude. Simple logic goes a long ways.

Ok thanks for the explanation and yes what you said does make sense. I don’t argue when I see facts.. In fact I pull out and say I am sorry.

But IE I was bugging every time. I would loose traction like crazy then bug then grip again then go. At least that’s what people told me when they saw me launching the car.

Az3ar- Please stop trying to fuel this fire. It doesn't solve anything.

EVO MR- I'm willing to help you but if you think the tune is too lean, there's nothing i can do other than tell you how to richen it up (assuming you are running an xede, of course). If you think I'm trying to snub you for some reason, I don't know what to say. But if you want help from me, I'm here. If you don't, then I hope you find someone else who can get your car to run the way you want it to. That's all that matters at the end of the day.

Regards,
shiv
when I get my hands on a laptop I will call you and hopefully you can walk me through the steps to add a little more fuel up top

Thanks... Chris

Thanx for intervening Shiv.I guess David relayed the message and sorry if I cost u this customer. Looked like a passive aggressive attack and I hope u can get him sorted out. He makes it appear that u are unwilling to help him and the only conclusion I can come up with is the Azar variable. I know u are down to help and that is why my deduction might have gone astray.Good luck Chris!

shiv

Shiv,

I am not trying to add fuel to the fire. you have business to run and family to feed and I wish you the best although this is very sensitive subject to me. I did not want to post here but IE brought my name in the mix and started throwing me with stones when his house is made of glass.

Thanks

I'm glad we can hopefully work this out and everyone can just sleep it off. I will be in touch shiv, But I just pray IE comments arent true. But I'm willing to take one more chance. I have so much invested already

Thanks

My comments are true Chris but my deduction of ur intent might be way off. I aplogize for my inaccurate deduction (passive aggresive attack and calling u a crybaby) but according to ur time 12.4 and trapspeed eventhough u shifted into 5th, I thought u were being a lil hard on the tuning.

Quote from MR Owner (With the MR I am over 7000RPM's in 4th gear when I pass the 1/4 mark..AS far as your times you may be at a higher elevation then I am which would explain your lower trap speeds..I am pretty close to sea level..)

I believe he trapped 107-108 mph the same as u with just a flash. However, he kept it in fourth gear. Shift gear and lose 2/10 s and at least 2 mph.

I tried keeping it in 4th gear as long as safely possible (all gears for that matter)

I ended up shifting around 7600 RPM from 4th to 5th (stock valve train, not sure what it can handle)

I have the x flash that I was told removed the rev limiter, I didnt want to take my fairly new MR to far in the RPM range. I feel 7600 RPM is about as far as I should push it.

Do you feel differently? How high should I have held out the revs?

Rev limiter bra. It will handle it with no problems. Been there done that with 450+ whp. Just hit the traps at the same time if need be. It will not break. BTW U still have a safe rev limiter set at I believe 7750 or 7850 with the xflash. But if it was unlimited or above 8000 i would say don't do it. The rev limiter is ur friend and protects ur car from kaboom. I do not believe Shiv would set it too high in regards to reliability.

5 speed ratios/// 6 speed ratios
1st 2.928/// 2.909
2nd 1.950/// 1.944
3rd 1.407/// 1.434
4th 1.031/// 1.100
5th 0.720/// 0.868
6th N/A/// 0.693

every single gear but 3rd and 5th are shorter, or longer (not sure if # represent longer or shorter ratios)
