.....i think he might be a little quicker this sat. night at the street legal drags guess we'll just have to wait and see
As for the AZ guys, you can't really compare ETs. Those are just an indication of driving/traction, not of power being made., so the guy with N2O is obviously making more power (118mph), but doesn't drive so well. The other problem is that the guys in AZ show definite signs of being affected by elevation, but somehow that law of physics doesn't apply to Idaho...
for one my car spikes between 22-24psi on my guage and falls to 20psi by redline. so I dont know what to tell you.
Second, for the comment about the nitrous car. Just incase you didnt know, when you run nitrous it is not affected by elevation or temp. It runs the same no matter where you are. His times will get better with more seat time.

Also, you are claiming these ETs and traps on STOCK BOOST, but you are nowhere near stock boost. In fact, you are running higher boost than almost everyone who has boost control. Most people only run 20-21 on their MBC, with some choosing to do 22 on pump. You are claiming that your "stock" boost is somehow running higher than anyone else who actually has CONTROL of their boost, so it's hard to call it "stock." The only thing stock about it is you supposedly haven't added boost control (or modified the pills or restrictors).

Also, stock boost is a relative term. I've seen "stock" boost fluctuate anywhere from 13 psi and dropping to holding over 20 at redline. The top-RPM taper doesn't seem to be as apparent in the '05's as it is in the '03's.
As far as stock boost goes, you gotta keep in mind that the engine is nothing more than an air pump. Make it more efficient (either by adding an intake and / or an exhaust) and guess what? It will run more efficiently. ie: the motor will now have an easier time holding a higher boost level. FWIW put an exhaust on any turbo car and see how it will affect the boost pressure.
Out of curiosity, where is it that you read that the '05 BOV leaks at 13 lbs? I've never heard of such a thing.
As far as driver skill is concerned, whiteevo311 is NOT new to drag racing. He has been driving FWD cars for as long as I can remember and last time I checked, it IS harder to CONSISTENTLY drive / launch a FWD than it is an Evo.
I see an awful lot of crying in this forum all because someone is a better driver than the other guy. DO NOT let your pride get the best of ya. Keep practicing and you'll get there.

I think I practiced enough to "get there" as you saw in the other thread, but my point is that he's at nearly 3000' elevation, and I'm near sea level. It doesn't add up...
i think most in this thread are failing to realize how possible times like that are....especially considering it was done at night. In the night, on the same mods as his, with the addition of a 50hp wet shot, I ran 11.7@118mph
congrats on the nice times....11's are very close!
and also wtf did that subaru do to get a 1.6 60ft!?! that's impressive
