decent time or no???

ok i went to the track today with temps 95+ with minimal ran an 8.58@ 83.52mph.... im managing a 1.811 60ft i believe where im losing time is my 2nd gear shift some reason i cant seem to nail it... anyway the mods list is Turbo XS mbc, Base Dyno Flash, Bushur Muffler Delete and a K&N cone filter... I believe the car feels faster with the stock box and the K&N Drop in. I'll be going back to it soon...

Are you running race gas or pump gas?

I've ran a 8.1 at 84 mph with a 1.81 60 ft. You need to switch gears better.

The time isn't good, but the mph isn't bad for the mods. For reference, my very first run on my MR, which was completely stock, I got an 8.4 @ 80mph on a 1.92 60'. I was slower than you, but nailed the shifts better even with a slower 60' (5k launch limiter). After the S-AFC, I was doing 8.1 @ 84, which matches your mph, but almost have a second faster. You can get 8.1 or 8.2 with some 1.7x 60' on that mph and do better at both with 30 less degrees temp in the fall months.

Yes that is 1/8 mile times. Its not possible to run mid 8's in the 1/4 by only going 83 mph.

This is true, but that is all I have to work with without driving for hours on hours to get 1/4 miles times.

1/8 mile is more of a drivers race than the 1/4.

90% of the race happens in the first 1/8 mile, the rest of the time you are are jsut roll racing which is for pussies.

yeah, I've seen an 11.7@88, and the car probably had like a 1.3 60' (it's the white car on the right...) :
