What's wrong with 13's on pump 91 **** gas? At least I wasn't in the 12's running $30k in upgrades, with racing fuel & nos!

Nothing wrong with 13s on a stock evo. With exhaust and afc/boost control you better be in the 12s though A LOT of it is tune and driving skill though. I gained a whole .5 seconds just improving my driving and that was after racing a buttload already. People don't understand how much skill it takes to drive in a straight line to the absolute maximum potential.

I'll say, I was out there last nite too and my best time of the night was 13.4 @ 108. And thats with a 2.2 60'. I just can't seem to get the launch down.

I'll give you a pointer. Rev that ***** to 7000 and don't ride out the clutch too much just almost dump it. People are too scared to launch their cars that is why they get crappy 60's. With a 1.8 which is still crappy in my book you would go 12.5-12.6.

You are such a trash talking idiot. FYI - your so called "friends" weren't telling you about me because I had nothing bad to say about your car. I even got some of it on video because I thought it looked good. Why don't you go back to high school and try to impress your friends there. I could care less about how fast you go.

Don't lie you had a 200 shot with 38psi. No for real though don't believe anything somebody's friend tells you. A stock sti was there last time I was there and his "friend" told me he wanted to line up against me because he wanted to stomp an evo. I am sure that is not what he said and he knew what my car was running so I seriously doubt he said that. People just like to stir the pot for their entertainment. I choose to ignore trash talk and let the times speak for themselves.

BTW I did get to race him twice and the first one I completely missed 2nd gear and still won by quite a bit with a 12 something. Poor guy couldn't even pull off a 13.xx. Second one I ran an 11.78. By far the most entertaining runs were against a porsche turbo though. He was running mid-low 12s @ 116-117.

Nope, I was visiting parents and friends. I use to live there a year ago in Sedona. I might be back down there this Christmas we will see. Maybe by then I will have my AEM running well. No more stock ECU for me. I have been researching the AEM for awhile now and have learned some interesting stuff. Like stock evo plugs are very good contrary to what some might say. If you have misfiring problems try some bpr8es plugs gapped to .22 or try stockers again. The only disadvantage to going colder is a higher probabability to fouling, because they aren't hot enough to burn the built up carbon off of them.

AEM ECU works awesome ,the Bucsher ignition..coil packs and AEMbox kept frying, think we fixed that problem.Gonna try MSD and coilpacks next..thats the way you should go.Stock ignition breaks up after 400whp.We have tried all kinds of plugs, one step colder.I changs em often. Where do you live in Idaho?Ive been to ST.Anthonys SandDunes

I think it is vehicle specific on ignition. My friend has a talon and runs stock ignition all day 10s @ 130+mph. My ignition has lasted so far and my plugs haven't fouled for a long time now so unless the drivers for the AEM suck *** it should be ok. I hope the Buschur ignition you were refering to wasn't the Switzer coil on plug system, because so far I have heard nothing but praise on that system. Anyhow I know I am making more than 400whp to run 123mph and my ignition is still good.

I am in Mountain Home where the Air Force Base is.

Maybe a moderator can fix the title of this thread:

"AZ. EVO in 12's"

Topnotchevo, you only made one mistake - which is what you named this thread. Someone your age should know to post a title like that only AFTER you are really in the 10's. Now we all get to bust yer' ***** and give you crap until you really do it.
