Buschur Race Chip Results!

Well I recieved the BR Race Chip today. Installed it and headed out to the track. Just some fyi, last time at the track I ran three runs in a row at 13.2 102mph 1.7 60ft.

So I got to the track and here are my runs:

1st- 2.08 60ft 13.78 101.6mph
2nd- 1.85 13.27 ?
3rd- 1.74 12.97 104.4

So I guess the race chip helped! Big thanks to buschur

So you gained 2 MPH? He wouldn't sell me one because I have a turbotrix flash :-/

Did he explain why? My guess is that he can't be sure of the tune they did for you and doesn't want you to damage your motor. My best time without the chip was 12.34 @ 108 after many races this spring and summer my best mph was 109. Since getting the chip, I have ran a best of 12.18 @ 112 and have hit many passes that are in the 111 - 112 range. It definitely improved my MPH by 2 - 3mph as no other changes were made and temps were similar.

You just cant compare mph's from 2 different days. Even if the temp was close to the same, the da could be way different

So you have to directly call buschur to get one of these, and why wouldnt he sell you one if you have another tune? other than buschurs

I understand. However, after months of racing and never exceeding 109mph and then putting in the chip and doing it consistently for a month it would imply that it improved my MPH. Another factor is wind. On a couple of the occasions after the chip I was also racing into a moderate headwind where as earlier in the season I had been at tracks with both a headwind and tailwind.

I would bet that it would have to do with not knowing how conservative or aggresive the tune was from the other vendor. If the tune is to aggresive, it could possibly cause undesirable results, ie engine damage.

Same with me too. I think the chip helped a little bit bottom line.

Same result for me. At the Bushcur shootout, I was basically hot lapping my car toward the final rounds and it was only getting faster including 1/8mph. You would think with the stock FMIC and stock turbo at 23 - 24psi, the heat soak would be detrimental to my times. That was not the case though.

He explained that he wasn't sure with their tunning ways and whatnot, doesn't really matter. He told me that he isn't going to sell it to anyone without a flash from Al or buschur, but i'm buying a Utec next week and gonna reflash back to stock and tune with the UTEC, so i'll try again and see if he'll sell me one. Hopefully he will since you've all got some pretty damn good results from it.

LOL>>>> It just tricks the ecu into thinking you are running a lower coolant temp. ( yes its just a resistor )

You will not need one with a utec ..it will do nothing for you

Yep, just a $5 resistor that equates to almost 20whp Best bang for the buck part I have ever bought! Thanks to Buschur for the ingenuity.
