So close, but yet so far...
Well, tonight was the night, but sub-standard driving kept me from hitting my coveted 11s without cams or flash. We finally got a cool night to race, so several of us took advantage of it, and the results were staggering. First of all, here are my timeslips:

The 12.01 at 111.67 was in 4th gear bouncing off the rev limiter and with my best 60' ever. At the time, the 7.66 at 90 in the 1/8th was also by far my best ever up to this point...
The 12.18 at 113.7 was my first attempt at shifting to 5th after 7k rpm in this current setup. As you can see, the mph got a big jump, but my ET suffered some (compare 1000' to 1320').
The 12.07 at 112 was the real kicker. I still only had a 1.73 60', but I was steadily catching myself if you compare the times on the earlier 12.01. THis was probably because the 12.01 was still at 6pm with the sun out and higher temps, so I had a good chance of beating myself, but I tried to go to 5th again and missed it (only miss of the night). The result was an amazing 12.07 at 112, despite missing 5th once, then getting it in on the 2nd try. Notice the amazing 91.3mph in the 1/8th...I was hauling ***.
It's pretty obvious that if I just had that extra 200rpm in 4th from a flash that I would have been able to eek out an 11.99, but I don't have one, so that's that. A fellow MR who has cams and a flash, but who was on straight 93 octane managed to hit 113.9 on his last run (12.6) by keeping it in 4th all the way to 7800. THis gives me hope that with just a 200rpm bump, I will be able to hit 113-114 in 4th, too, and that should be enough to knock me down .02s.

I've got the videos isolated, but not ready to upload yet. Unfortunately, I sucked it up tonight (1st SAFC reset problem, 2nd EBC cut at 18psi~>14psi, 3rd bad shifting on my part) and decided to quit early, but fortunately the other Evos there kept our good name strong
Even with all my problems tonight at least all runs in the 12.7-8's
By the way, everyone, a car that dynoed a measley 302whp on a Dynojet trapped 113.9 on PUMP 93! In other words forget about all these varying hi/low Dyno #s you see from all over the country, they're only valid to compare on each individual dyno...

I say your car has an 11.9x in it w/o the flash, on the last run if you didn't miss 5th that would have probably done it. next time nail the launch and a quick powershift to 5th and 11's are yours, then claim 11's w/ the least mods on an Evo
good luck
