I am no professional but have been to palmdale many times.....my .02 is that your launches are not good, with the stock clutch 1.8xx all day on a bad day, 1.7xx on a good day. Other then that I like shifting around 7300-7400 each gear, when you shift you have to shift as quick as possible hope you don't miss on a stock clutch and your car should be good for high 13's at palmdale. Fastest I have seen is some where around 13.4 for a stock evo at palmdale. Remember palmdale is also known for wind in your face and the elevation slows you down a little. Hope that helps see you out there.

Looking at your trap speed tells me your running out of power at the top end.

Could be a lot of things...boost leak, shifting , ecu pulling timing, ect..or like seywen said..maybe a 40mph headwind.

The last run with a 11.9 1000ft. should've got you close if not into the 13's.

Don't feel too bad, I thought I was the only person to not break 13's at the track. My first time at the track was 14.3, 14.2, 14.19 and finally a 14.009. What worked best for me was to launch at 6K, shifting at 7200rpms.

Other evos at the track have been running the same low 14's as well..

i know i dont have a boost leak..i recently did a test and there was no boost leak....also im hitting full boost at 19-20 according to my gauge...i might have shifted a little early from 3rd t0 4th but i still should have hit at least 14 flat...my evo is stock...what is ecu timing?...another thing that i noticed was i ran an older M5, and beat it with no infractions..and it still said my timing was slower then the m5??dont get it..could the times possibly be slightly off?

That just means you left before he did.

Practice will make perfect. Amazing what a difference it makes. My average times were 14.1-3's. Finally last weekend with better launching, and shifting I got my best yet of 13.732. that's a .3-.6 difference..

Why do you keep insisting on running at LACR, it's got to be one of the most terrible tracks in the country, not just because of elevation, it's just all around sh*tty (and the authorities wonder why street racing is so rampant in LA). The only thing LACR is good for, is practice. I wouldn't compare my times with others who have ran at different locations because it's just no comparison. There are other drag strips in the Southern California Area that may give you more realistic times such as-

California Speedway http://www.californiaspeedway.com/tr...niaDragway.jsp

Perris Auto Speedway
http://www.perrisautospeedway.com/site/souvenirs.html

Irwindale Drag Strip (1/8th mile only)
http://www.irwindalespeedway.com/dragstrip/index.asp

Famoso Raceway
http://www.famosoraceway.com/

With that said, your times at LACR can improve, your 60ft needs work, and probably your shifting too. With better launches and better shifting, you should be able to hit 13.9 or 14.0 at LACR. which isn't all that bad, that's like a 13.5 or 13.6 at a better track. So just use LACR as a tool to improve on your driving skills. Good luck and keep practicing.

LACR is a difficult track to get good times at. I use to live Lancaster/Palmdale and would hit the track religiously. My best time w/ intake, cat back and afc untuned was 13.9 with a 1.9 60ft. LACR is a very challenging track.
