11.92@116.85

Just got back from US 41 in Indiana. Took the car out for the final time this year and went home very happy.

60' - 1.697
330ft - 4.997
1/8 - 7.686
1/8 mph - 88.91
1/4 ET - 11.92
1/4 mph - 116.85

This is on a stock 03 turbo, all season snow tires (spinning like crazy), and 93oct + meth.

Need to throw some good tires on next spring!!!!!
Mods are AMS stage 3 minus injectors.
Tuned by Martin@AMS
Thanks guys!

Damn 28mph in the back half, NICE. I trapped 91 in the 1/8th and 116.6 in the 1/4. You have hella topend.

Very nice! I knew your car was capable of this time and mph. I only wonder why cars with your power seem to launch well (1.6 60') yet not get to the 1/8th as fast in terms of mph. Like Anthony, I hit consistent 90.5 in the 1/8th with a best of 91.3, but then I only get up to 111-112 due to stock cams and the rev limiter. You obviously have way more topend, but I wonder what the hindrance is up to the 1/8th. My friend locally who runs 11.74 (best) with WR/280s/Meth is hitting right at 118 in the 1/4, but 90-91 in the 1/8th. He's got me by 40-50whp, which shows on the top end, but we're even at the 1/8th. I still wonder if it's the 6spd that gets me to the 1/8th abnormally fast.

That is the difference in gearing between a 5 speed and 6 speed, the 6 speed lets you get better mph in 1/8th but you are running out of gear in 4th in the 1/4 with your power level, where the 5 speed has better gearing for the top end charge, but suffers a bit in the 1/8 for mph. There are quite a few 5 speed stock gearing big turbo cars that sre running 135+ mph in 1/4,just winding out 4th gear(9000+)

The biggest problem for me right now is traction. I really need to put some good tires on. This time was done on all season snow tires. I know there is another tenth or two in it with a good set of tires. Plus, US 41 is not a well prepped track at all. I always run better at Route 66 in Joliet, but unfortunately they are closed for the season.

Mods are AMS stage 3 minus injectors tuned with a utec.

Actually my 03 with 18" volks and regular tires ran 11.8@115 at 3500 lbs. Have the same AMS stage 3. Very similar #s but Ii got a 1.65 and a 4.8 330 7.5@89 1/8th and 11.8@115.1
This is on pumpgas/Alky. Turbo was worn though and it finally fell apart after the track, not bad for a dying turbo.

Sean

Was this from running too much boost too long on the stock turbo that it finally took a dump on ya?

Man, it sure would be nice if people would not post off topic in your post. I guess the pm or starting new topics options are to much for some people.
Congrats kid, to bad you can't outrun the mighty MR in the topend!

Not mine...right MM! We ran from about 70mph and he pulled 1 car when he was in 4th then when he went into 5th he couldn't pull more than 1/2 of a car more up to 130mph. I only have a tbe and dynoflash base tune too. He would smoke me in the lower gears most likely though. I love my 10.5 hotside baby.
