Finally figured out a few things...

Finally broke into the 12's last night. Also figured out how to launch the car without toasting my clutch.

First Run / Second Run

60 ... 1.74 / 1.78
330... 5.27 / 5.27
1/8 ... 8.13 / 8.16
MPH... 85.97 / 82.93
1000.. 11.18 / 10.64
1/4 ... 12.75 / 12.71
MPH... 107.59 / 108.57

I went through an ACT 2600 in 8000 miles trying to figure out how to launch it right. Went back to the OEM and seemed to do just fine.

I'm still trying to figure out where & when to shift. I launch around 5200 and then I go into second at 6500. I hit 3rd & 4th around 7000 to 7500. Would it be better to go to 8000 rpm?

I ran a 12.5@110 with less mods... I think you should work on you shifting as far as quickness is concernd. I ran 12.5@108 before, you should at least be around 12.5.

Most likley your power will be dropping off after 7500rpm's, at least mine does.

Thanks Joe. Are you going to Jay's for the dyno runs? If so, you better hurry up and get that exhaust and stuff you were talking about. My Evo is out of commision right now - waiting on parts. I hope to have the stuff back by Saturday and be up and running.

Depends on what mods you have, so what mods do you have? I ran a 13.0@107. I also need to work on my launch a bit more and shifting is a big part of it. I cut a 1.8 60ft so I def need to work on that, along with powershifting.

1.74 60ft is pretty good, 107-108 is an ok MPH for that power leve but its probably hot there and that might be a factor. your 12.7 time might be squeezed down to a 12.5 with better shifting

Whats the elevation of the track? That could make all the difference.

The problem is that if the heat affects his 1/4-mile et/mph, then it would also affect his dyno results. Elevation, temp, and humidity get thrown out the window in this case...the traps should still match the dyno results, else the dyno results are inflated, unless he dyno'd in a completely different part of the country.

yea i guess that makes sense, but dont you think he should be trapping around 110mph with those numbers??? unless he got dyno'd at night and it was cool or something and then ran on a hot *** day. hell I made 379whp and 372wtq and only trapped 112mph when i went to the dsm shootout in august, it was 95 degrees and humid as hell out. 330+whp cars were in the 13's and trapping 104-106 all day
