Oh, well that explains it. Nevermind. Decent job nonetheless, but you had us thinking this was on pump gas. I pick up a good 30whp with just a mix of 104/93, but I do turn up the boost and lean out the SAFC, which is how I hit 113+ mph on stock cams like you. I hit my 12.0s and 113mph with only 89-90 in the 1/8th-mile, though. I'm pretty skeptical on you hitting 93+ mph in the 1/8th, which requires about 375whp to accomplish.

Sorry for the confusion, I just through the race gas in for the hell of it.

OK newbie Turbo owner question, Is race gas worth it on a car with no control over the ECU/or boost.?

What kind of power gains do you see by just pouring in some 100 octane?

Any idea on how much power you picked up with the DC header?

There's a lot of potential gain if you're tuned to the edge, because it the 100oct would provide complete knock resistance while allowing for full timing advance. There's more gain to be had with the raising of boost and fuel pulled out, but even without control over those, the 100oct allows you to run optimally with no knock.

Dyno's don't always tell the truth. The track always tells the truth, though. If you really are putting down 380-400whp, you should have traps speed from 118-120mph. I do 110mph with 300whp on pump gas without cams and 21psi...

Thank you, and I only went through five motors on the ITR and 4 clutchs on the SRT4.

I have put more miles on the EVO this summer than the other two cars combined over a 2 year period and only needed to replace (upgrade) the clutch.

................I'm going to try to go back to the track one more time before the snow flys here and run on straight pump gas and then add 4 gallons of 100 for a back to back comparision.

good times. if u could work on that 60', u could probably chop down anothe .1 or 2. ur trap speeds are high enough. Turbotrix kicks massive a**!

Only if you are currently shifting slower than my grandmother. If you actually have 380-400whp and are only seeing 110-111mph traps, then something is terribly wrong. Don't forget that you dyno in 3rd gear, but 4th gear is what matters most for MPH at the track. Without seeing timeslips and logs of your runs, I can't really analyze your situation. All I know is that mph is what Evos can do on pump gas, no alky, and no cams.
