yeah, it's tough to really compared dyno numbers I guess, I need to get a 1/4 trap time really to gauge the power. . .

On an intresting note, on the same dyno, two Vishnu 1++ 03/04 Evo's put down around 310awhp, so I think this dyno might be underating a little. . .

Warrtalon,
Why does Buschur claim that Evo 9's make the same as Evo 8s? What are the best bone stock 2005 Evo 8 times?

That is just awsome, but also sad to know I'm down something like 30whp to the IX. Time to bridge that gap.

Buschur's tests have shown that the peak power isn't different, but the MIVEC provides more area under the curve. Regardless, IXs are trapping 106-107mph pretty easily which verifies the additional power. 05s hit 13.0-13.1 pretty easily with 1.8-1.9x 60's, but the 5k limiter kept the # of good 60s on stock 05s pretty low. If I had done a 1.75 instead of 1.92, I would have had a 12.9x, but I raced before knowing about the 5k limiter and got pwnt by it. I think the trap speeds are telling the story...IXs tend to have 10-20whp more than 05s on average.

Iam going to be heading back to the track on Sat. for another test & tune session. My neighbor just bought a white evo ix on this past Saturday from the same dealership i got mine from. We will both be going because he wants to see if he can beat my time. Also a friend of mine with a turbo civic will be going. Anyone interested in going? Time for some more racing before the track closes.

Definitely an improvement over your first run What was it a 15, 16 or 17 @ 101? (just busting your *****)

How's it going... I was the guy that walked up to the car when you 1st got there and asked if it was an EVO IX. I saw the 13.0 @ 105 run and thought that was sweet... 12.9 @ 106+, even better

Good job!

Pretty good for an auto. Stock turbo?

As for me, this weekend I will be @ Skirmish beating up some friends in paintball.

Besides, I think its safe to say the car is done for the winter (at least at the track). I have a clutch hydraulic issue... need to order new cylinders. I am not sure what is wrong with them, I am just gonna replace both of them... they've seen almost 5 years of abuse, so if cant hurt.

Car is running great otherwise. But, with the time over the winter I wanna redo the brakes, upgrade a bunch of bushings, and a slew of other little things.

I joke that its the fastest stock 2 liter WRX in the country (JDM STi 2 liter )... so far I haven't been proven wrong though, lol! Thanks.

Whats the plan with the EVO?

Yah the wrx still has the stock turbo. As for the Evo my only plans are a turboback and a flash from Shiv @ Vishnu. I called them already to order the flash but they said that it is only availagle to locals first. So about another month for me.+1
