Dec 3rd Dyno Day Numbers

Post up your dyno numbers.

I just wanted to say thanks to EngineLogics for hosting our 1st Houston Evo Dyno Meet. They have an awesome facility and dyno with excellent cross flow ventilation. The owners and staff are great people and were great hosts today.

Here are Jorge T and Sigfrid's dyno numbers. Jorge T (blue - 310.3whp) had a conservative race gas tune(100oct in tank), Sigfrid (red - 299.4whp) was on 93 octane. Their mods are very similar. SMART, Cams, test pipe, 10.5 hot side. Basically Vishnu Stage 1++

boost and afr on Jorge T's Evo

This is a low reading dyno, Vishnu has the same dyno dynamics and a stock Evo uses has a baseline of 200whp. If you want dynojet numbers just multiple your numbers by 1.15

The subaru guys recently had a dyno day at EngineLogics on Nov. 26, here is a link to their results thread just for comparison.

I'll post my dyno sheets once I get them scanned in at work, I suck. . .overall, I'm pretty damn impressed with the power I'm putting down. . I'm just debating about installing an MBC and seeing how the area under the curve will fatten. . .it won't change my overall hp (I assume), but it'll lower my 1/4 times for sure. . .

Good times. . .

248 HP 240 ft/tq with Hood closed and before fuel was added up top
245ish? 232ft/tq with Hood closed and with fuel added up top
262 HP 232 ft/tq with Hood open and with fuel added up top

All this after a bad flat tire day, but thanks to Jason with the yellow evo for lending me one of his.

Safc2, 3"Turboback(dp-tp-cb), Injen Intake/UICP, Maxford Exhaust Manifold, Hallman Boost controller (22psi to 19psi), HKS Bov, Walbro Fuel Pump. total spent was about $800ish...

The best for the day was 316.5 hp - 300 ft. lb

Major surging issues with Buschur 20G. Boost was not holding. 20G comming off ASAP. Not happy at all with it . After a few mods we will for sure check it out again. Vert nice shop. The owner & his wife were super cool people. Nice to meet Dan in person.

Is the the Evo8 20g or the 9? I'm assuming it's the 8.

Monica, If you still have the Xede maybe a boost map can be made to keep the turbo from surging.

It is the Evo8 20 G. Not at all pleased with it. I have talked to Dave about it and he says he is working on a fix for it but I can't wait that long. It drives me crazy. I think my car would have had way better results with the stock turbo. Dunno...... kinda fustrating. But, the good part is making it better. So it's OK to suck for now.

Hey Jorge!!
I still have the XEDE with the SMART thingie. Still not real sure if I want to use it or not. Crazy I know. But thanks for the info. I will for sure keep that in mind. I will call you one day this week to let you know what I have planned next.

No problem. I don't have a scanner here, so I'll try to post it by tomorrow evening. With 104 octane, the car made 321.8 horsepower and 340 ft/ibs of torque at about 26 pounds of boost. I'm running the stock cams, stock cam gears and high flow cats. The car needs some tuning really bad. I'm sure once properly tuned that it would do better.

please scan and post up your dyno chart if you get a chance. I want to see the spool up on your ATP kit. is it the 3071r or 3076r? I am very surprised that the ATP kit made 340 lbs torque on this dyno. That's like 390 lbs torque on a dynojet.

I don't think you made 280 lbs of max torque. Look at the right side of the chart for torque numbers. It looks like you made 235 lbs of torque. someone correct me if i'm wrong.
