I took my 2003 cobra to the track yesterday..my slowest run was 13.2 with a 2.4 60', but eventuallydropped the pressure in the rears to 25psi..did a burnout and ran a 12.441 all totally stock.

I only have 140 miles on the evo so far, but hopefully i can take it soon.

You want proof?

Dan is going to go 10's in street trim on that car. Remember my words. The evo is way ahead than the DSM ever was. It only needs minor things to make power. Its a de-tuned rallye car.

not down playing the time, becasue that's awesome for a basicly stock car. but what is up with that trap? with the way their car dyno'd and the power it's making it should be trapping alot higher than that........

Dan said something about gearing, also the car weighs in a lot.

I think the trap is close to what it should be. Maybe about 2mph higher at best. Depends on elevation too of the track they're running. Faster times when closer to sea level. But to put things in perspective my Supra dynoed 280 rwhp stock and like 295 tq and it went 106mph in stock trim so I don't think it's too far off.

On the Pruven site they mention a new front mount. I thought the stock front mount was sufficient for mid-high 12s? Seeing the rest of their bolt-on list will be interesting.

New gearing? It already has a 4.53 final drive!

using my rice-ulater I would think the car should be running 110-112 mph's in the 1/4. that is one of the reasons I wanted to see the 1/8th mile ET and trap.

Some new information.

Car weighed in with Dan at 3340 lbs (Spare and misc stuff includede). That was on one of those certified scales.

Dan said the tranny needs work in terms of gearing. Third only goes to 80 MPH at 7000 RPM, 4th goes to 120 at 7000 RPM. That means the car is in fourth to do the quarter mile which sucks for very fast cars. The EVO should be going over 115 to go into 4th in my opinion, but its just geared that way.. Final drive ratio means nothing for me when Dan says the cars tranny needs some mods to get it where it belongs. He is looking into tranny modifications or things on that nature.

I can get more information if you like. Just ask

He pulled a 1.72 60' with the car by the way
