Is this good? Evo IX 1/4 Mile results
Well I just took my Evo IX to the drag strip. The car is pretty much stock except for a HKS catback and a test pipe. Nothing else. Not to mention it was a pretty goodnite. The temp. was at about 70 degrees. This was my 1st time at the dragstrip with my IX or another car. My 1st run was not so good with a 13.818 and a trap speed of 106.08. I bogged the launch terribly on the first run. Second run was considerably better with a 1/4 mile of 13.329 and a trap speed of 106.88. I bogged the lauch just a little that time, but got a much better 1/4 mile time. Well Heres my results as its read on the reciept:
First Run:
R/T...1.295
60'...2.378
330...6.082
1/8...9.087
MPH...81.08
1000...11.669
1/4...13.818
MPH...106.08
Second Run:
R/T...570
60'...2.060
330...5.657
1/8...8.630
MPH...81.58
1000...11.196
1/4...13.329
MPH...106.88
I can probably get the car into high 12's with a better launch. What do you guys think?

Your 60 foots are the weak point. The car seem to be making plenty of power looking at those trap speeds.
HOWEVER, take a good long time and read the board based on launches, clutches, T-Cases and such......if you are not interested in anything but the 1320, then be prepped for blowing up drivetrain parts trying to hit a 1.7 60ft.
Its inevitable that it will happen if you continually race, that either you will cross the line and rev the car too high and stress the t-case too much OR, burn up the clutch on the slip. I'd say find a happy medium. 13.1 or 13.0 bone stock is a nice healthy time.
Id hate to see you bust up that brandy new clutch. 5 grand, slip her to the 60 but make sure when you are at WOT that the clutch is fully out. If you go for a clutch, try an exedy carbon HD or Cusco Carbon. I love my Cusco Carbon. With minimal mods (exhaust, mbc and an afc) I was able to light all four tires if I caught it just right when the tires were cold. THe more carbon slips and gets hot, the more it grips. BEst of luck, keep us posted!

Yea I know its me. I'm pretty sure with more practice and more ***** I can break into 12's. I dont wanna hurt the drivertrain too much. Like I said that was my 1st time at the dragstrip with ANY car! Hopefully next time with more practice i'll be in the 12's.
My 60' is supposed to be 1.7 or better??? Thats gonna be tough.

I think 106 stock would be good. The temps are good, but the humidity isn't. I don't know how much humidity affects mph in good temps like that. I know it's a bad combo with heat like you guys normally deal with. The 103 traps were quite low, but the 106.8 is pretty good except for the 20whp worth of exhaust. Also, when I said I was disappointed, I wasn't disappointed in you guys, but rather the IXs themselves.

I believe with more practice (author of the thread) not only will your E.T. improve, but so will your MPH. I believe 108MPH is not out of the realm of possibility.
4 Wheel Slide- 13.2@108MPH (with a 2.1 60ft) is extremely good for just a Cutout and Test Pipe. With more practice, I could see you running a 12.5-12.6@108-109MPH. I mean just the addition of a Flash, and you could easily be trapping around 111-113MPH. I mean, that is amazing for your level of mods. The IX is amazing!!!
