Traps are slow, check your tune, could be pulling timing. You are shifting too short for a 5sp. Run the gears out.

I am going to take her back to the track and see if it was just that day, if my car is pulling timing, my driving or what....

1.66 is a good 60ft though, thats what will get you a decent time in the 1/4 as long as u can hit shifts quick

I just put it on. I got a great deal on a used JDM MR BOV on Ebay. I bet the plastic stocker was leaking.

The EVO shifts more crisp now. Not as much flutter as before.

Nate,
Something I just looked at. It took you 6.2 seconds from your 60FT to the traps, on my run (7.95) it only took 6.1 (and I dont have alky). I would say we could line up and run but you know what happens when we do that . Maybe we will run at the track.

I will be going this weekend! BTW I have been reviewing my video of my run and I have a lot of time lost in-between shifts/ Shifting to early as well as shifting to 4th instead of holding on in 3rd. You might want to wait for your new clutch... BTW that is apples and oranges, you have the bigger '05 Turbo and the 272/272 cams. We both have the stock rev limiters so IMO it should be fun. Mine is the pill in my clutch line and yours is electronic.

Call me if you want to run at the strip. I will have a friend come and record it so that we can post later.

Jerimiah,

Thanks, after using that same train of thought, I researched other time slips including another one ran the very same day as my 7.82 run. I found that in past runs from my 60ft to the trap I ran one 6.0 flat and a 6.1. (and I don't have the larger turbo or larger cams). If I upgraded to the 10.5 Hotside like you have then that would hopefully open up the high 11's to me. But for the time being it is quite possible to break into the 7.5-7.6 category with my current set-up. I plan on trying out quicker shifts and staying in 3rd gear on Sunday and seeing what happens. I hope that you are able to be there and if not wish me luck.

This season at the Drag strip should be awesome with our average times and then Wrick's 500+Awhp Turbo Trix tuned EVO and Chris's legendary 932Awhp AMS EVO. I am very curious what they will bust out. I know that they will represent the EVO well.... Damn there are some nice EVOs locally!!!
