Does the Lancer even have an Intake air temp sensor? I think it just uses the MAS to obtain that reading, and in that case its attached to the back of the stock airbox....

 

it is part of the MAS airflow meter

Edit: soo is the air pressure sensor

 

Where is the MAS airflow meter located? is it the little black box on top of the air tube?

Alright, thats what i was thinking, one more thing; how do i get it open!!!! i've tried....but still i can't get it open! Either i'm not strong enough (which i don't think is the problem) or i am doing it wrong.

first off, i'd rather learn how something works and looks like before actually touching it. IAT chip mod? did you get it off ebay or something? it's not one of those resistors that tricks the ecu into thinking that you're actually sucking in cold air is it?

wait a minute. we don't have one...

 

The MAF has a little sensor that does everything in temp and pressure reading after the honeycomb.

Don't mess with it! Screw it up, you can't idle properly.

you got ripped off. there is no such thing.

The FTC really needs to step in and bust those dealers for false advertising or outright fraud and needs to be thrown in jail.
