60- 2.090
330- 5.814
1/8- 8.954
MPH- 79.28
1000- 11.662
1/4- 13.918
MPH- 100.33

I was actually kind of happy about that first run I expected it to be a little bit on the bad side and expected to grow from there. So next pass-

60- 2.013
330- 5.695
1/8- 8.767
MPH- 82.46
1000- 11.442
1/4- 13.657
MPH- 102.37

I was pretty happy about that time and trap speed because I knew what I needed to do to better both my E.T. and trap speed. My launch felt better but I think I was slipping the clutch too slowly and needed to get more aggressive with my launch and shifting. So I was really expecting a 13.3 or even a 13.2 the next pass-

60- 2.236
330- 5.991
1/8- 9.074
MPH- 81.38
1000- 11.757
1/4- 13.992
MPH- 100.44

WTF happend? Well I got freakin' mixed up at the staging lights and ended up having to rush my launch and that totally ruined the entire run. Man I was so pissed at myself because I know I could have hit atleast a 13.4. Damn and that was my last pass.

Well the BAD- I did a pretty poor job, but the GOOD- I know I can improve, I wish I could have that last run back. Also I know the car can go quicker and faster. So I am really happy with the car.
Dont worry! Once you get the launch, it will be like clockwork. NIce times and trap considering your 60fts never went better than 2.0s. Your car is strong!

Dang Where is Famoso? If you go to Sacramento Raceway on Saturdays...They are test and Tune Days...50 bucks and you run all day...and I mean it. I had back to back runs about 20 to 25 runs that day. My first run using the new stock rev limiter (didnt have on my 8), I did a 14.0. Then After that first run, I did 13.4. I stayed between 13.4 and 13.6 the whole day and was trying different launching techniques. I don't have time slips to prove it though. I don't even know where to get it on the weekends...the usual slip booth was closed.

I have a IX with SSL. Kinda pissed I bought a IX with SSL. I read a couple days ago a IX GSR w/o SSL ran 12.9...so my Sunroof and sorry sound sytem is weighing me down. Haha. I didn't really want the sound or Leather either...I don't think I did too bad though. In Edmunds, the drivers that tested the IX w/SSL did 13.3 with the Rev Limiter removed. STI did 13.6. As long as I'm ahead of the STI, im Happy. haha.

With the RS, im sure you can do 12's with better launches.

Haha, Yea it's expensive over here. On wednesday nights, they are really busy and everyone is out there. Most runs you can get is 3 and then Elims start, if your lucky, you get a 4th run. 20 bucks on Wednesdays.

go to 5or6,000 rpms, dump the clutch(release fast), then floor it. that should at least break you into sub 2.0 60 foot, and from there you be in the 12's =)

(theres lots of different ways to launch awd, depending on mods but stock this should do you fine without burning your clutch or bogging)

I wish I could take it to 6,000 RPMs, well there is a way. But I want to hit sub 2.0 60fts before I start disconnecting things. Also I know with a couple more practice launches I should be there, I try not to launch on the streets, just at the strip.

When I used to go to the track with my previous cars, If I was looking to be as fast as possible down the track, I would not let the tree intimidate me. If I needed an extra second to launch, I would take that extra second. Doesnt start the timer unless you move, so unless your bracket racing, rt doesnt really matter.

does the IX RS come with the 5k launch control thing? if so, keep it floored, you will build boost, and release the clutch fast. too fast, you will bog, too slow and you will burn clutch. i suggest faster than slower until you get it right. sub 2.0 should happen every time from just releasing clutch at 5k.

No, I think my shifting could improve. I think I really shifted well my last pass, but messed up the launch. So we will see, I plan to go to a 1/8th track next Thursday for more practice. Then the car rests until April when California Speedway opens.

Wow, this is the first time I've seen people in my area on this site. I just ran a 13.2 @ 101 today in my stock IX. Glad to have it broken in!

You can get sub 2.0's stock. On my 1/8th mile run in my signature I pulled a 1.83 with the stock 5K limiter.

Just takes practice
