took my car to the track tonight and ran some surprising times....

yeah that is really good, especially the trap speed. Also your 60ft isn't so great but you still ran a 13.1, you have a very, very strong stock EVO VIII.

Actually, the tires won't make any difference. In fact, people have been putting down better 60's with snow tires/all-season tires than with the Advans, because the Advans have a very stiff sidewall for cornering/handling. Snow/all-season tires have soft sidewalls, which allow them to flex, thus giving great 60's if you do it right. In your case, your crappy 60' had nothing to do with tires - it's not like you were spinning wildly or anything. You just haave to learn how to launch, then you'll be in the 12s.
