wow. 13.1 at 104. Nice for a stock Evo 8. I don't think mine would run THAT quick.

yeah that is really good, especially the trap speed. Also your 60ft isn't so great but you still ran a 13.1, you have a very, very strong stock EVO VIII.

 

The car is an 05 and it has 18,000 miles. I'm going to get better tires on and break into the 12's......

Actually, the tires won't make any difference. In fact, people have been putting down better 60's with snow tires/all-season tires than with the Advans, because the Advans have a very stiff sidewall for cornering/handling. Snow/all-season tires have soft sidewalls, which allow them to flex, thus giving great 60's if you do it right. In your case, your crappy 60' had nothing to do with tires - it's not like you were spinning wildly or anything. You just haave to learn how to launch, then you'll be in the 12s.

 

I think that's the fastest I've heard a stock viii run.

 

IIRC there was a few stock 05's that were in the 12's.

Nah, there's been plenty of VIIIs with 12.9-13.0. I only did a 13.1 thanks to that damn 5k limiter (1.92 60'). At the time, I didn't know what it was - I thought I broke something.

nice time, best i did with my 03 when it was bone stock was 13.3 102 mph. that was with a 1.9 60. cant wait to get to the track to see what my BR350 IX#005 will do.
