12.1 with my 05 *VID*

The car definitely had 11's in it, but it was the opening day at the track and I was trying to get the launch dialed. My first run, it spun terribly off the line and went 12.3. Bogged the next run by overcorrecting, and went 12.5. Then my last run it hooked up decently after I dropped pressure, but I didn't want it to spin like hell so I went a little bit conservative, and it went 12.1. Here are the vids of the 12.3 and 12.1 runs. That STi called me out in the staging lanes then went on to a blistering 13.5 .

SBR FMIC, S-AFC, LPI Turboback, and Comp cams. That's all she wrote.

Haha, interesting mod combo. You did that without an MBC or BOV while on pump gas, or did you just leave those out because they're so basic?

Left out the MBC, woops, got that for free. I am on the stock BOV and am on pump gas. All runs at 21psi.

Yes, very nice for pump gas and nice rims, too.

How did you make so much torque on pump gas with the SAFC on stock injectors? We can't make any timing at peak boost to make good torque on the SAFC without something that allows us to remove a lot of fuel at 3500-4500rpm (injectors, race gas, alky, etc.).

Thanks guys, and speaking of which, I really do need to get ahold of an MR BOV for cheap.

And to answer your question, I have no idea. My friend Nate from SBR tuned it on the dyno. I personally am used to DSMLink on my Talon and try to stay away from S-AFC's, but we decided we would see what it did, and were pretty damn happy with the results.

Hmm, yeah I've known Nate for a while, but I haven't seen an SAFC make torque like that without some sort of aid. We run lean from the factory with low timing at peak boost, so you can't run even more lean, which means you can't make good timing. In fact, we run lean enough to cause knock on increased boost, so you sometimes need to add fuel, which only weakens timing further. There has to be something extra that allowed Nate to remove fuel and advance timing at peak boost to make all that torque. Do you have a dynograph to show by chance?

Yeah, snag an MR DV. They're only $100 or so...

I do have a dyno graph, but I don't have it saved on the comp. I'll have to get a picture of it for you. It's tuned for about 11.70's AFR on pump gas, and actually, there is a goooood amount of fuel being pulled by redline. Something to the tune of -15%. I was pretty surprised as well.
