New 1/8th after tune
New 1/8th after tune
Well I was worried on the way to the track because my clutch started slipping in 5th under boost. But I said I'd try one run and see what it'd do, and it held good off the line but slipped some going down the track.
These runs are with about a quarter tank of straight 100oct with 25psi, and 30psi in all four tires. I'm also using a 2-step @ 5800rpms for launching. Here are my two best runs:
Reaction: .582
60ft: 1.674
330ft: 4.991
1/8th: 7.761
MPH: 88.803
Reaction: .660
60ft: 1.669
330ft: 4.979
1/8th: 7.746
MPH: 88.706
I love the two step. All of my 60's were in the 1.6's, and my runs are much more consistent. I'll have video's up soon.

Good stuff. You're right on par with my 7.76@88.5 (sig run), but I bet when you hit the 1/4, you will pull a lot harder on the back half and trap 112-113...maybe more if the clutch was somehow slipping at high rpm (very strange).
So with the 2-step helping you do consistent 1.6s, what tires were these and what was the ambient temperature outside? I had a cold, slippery track with 20psi in my snow tires and couldn't hook at all on the 2-step. Obviously, the conditions weren't the best nor the tires, haha.

For some reason the clutch would do decent during the runs, but on the road back to the time slips it would slip if I gave it any kind of gas. Maybe it got really hot during the run and didn't slip til afterwards? On the way home I had to be super easy on it for it not to slip.
I'm running the stock advan tires, and I'm not sure about the temperature.

Oh, ok, so then it wasn't slipping during the runs. The reason why you only felt it on the return lane was because you were down at peak torque, which is where it slips the most. On the drag strip, you're never below 5500rpm where the torque is much lower. On the street, you're much more often hitting peak boost/peak torque, so it slips all the time.
Yeah the HP numbers are on a mustang dyno. Mods are HKS 264s, 3" TBE, forge mbc, k&n drop in, fuel pump, ams LICP, forge BOV.
I went back through my timeslips and my first 60' was a 1.706. I went 1.70, 1.68, 1.69, 1.67, 1.66.
I plan on getting a new clutch and checking for boost leaks since I'm not holding boost at all. Then I'll head back out and see what I can do.
