I think I'm gonna take my O2 off the car. Simply because I doubt its any better than the factory housing. Sure its a little lighter but on my car its harder to control boost.

The O2 should fit on any 8/9 evo. If you want mine I'll sell it fairly cheap. PM me.

Wow, surprised nobody has put a link up to the testing we did on that housing. I did test it back to back on the dyno, multiple times actually. Tested it against a good ported/ceramic coated stock housing. Definite, absolute gains with it. Almost 15 whp actually.

There is a thread about it in Engine/turbo/drivetrain.

What do you think about the fact that I can hold higher boost levels now?

I find it odd that prior to the housing my boost curve looked just like everyone elses but after the install, if I wanted to, I would spike to nearly 28PSI dropping to 24PSI at redline.

You thought wrong. Read Buschur's post. Its a huge restriction and he even made that power over an already ported one!

I felt a noticeable difference after the 02 went on.

I dont know if I would say its a huge restriction especially if people aren't seeing the returns at the track.

I didnt know so many people installed 02s and immediately tested it at the track. The fact stands, its a restriction as evident from the dyno before/afters, which are actually accurate. Also, Id say most people who installed them felt a noticeable difference. I deinitely did. I cant say that for most mods.

The power gain is definitely noticible, when I installed my just recently I was thrown to the back of the seat harder than before especially at the top end, the only bad things about this is that I did hit 24psi today. I usually run see 22psi, I have never seen higher than 22 before the install, now I had to turn the boost down a bit because of it, the other bad thing is CEL i get from it.

If you have a CEL for your o2,Its because you damaged it either from removing it or reinstalling it.Same thing happened to me.
I installed a new one and it is gone.
And Like was said gains are very noticable on the top end.But I have no overboosting problem.

Well it depends on which brand o2 housing you go with, people keep saying ebay parts, but it depends on the brand, ebay doesn't make parts, so you gotta make sure you get the right brand name.

Ahhh the "Back Dyno" how does this compare to the industry standard "butt dyno" ?

I dont even know if its a .1 difference it may even be in the .01. However, a buddy of mine got a ebay 02 and the thing didnt fit. One of the bolt holes didnt even line up he ended having to dremmel out the bolt hole to make it fit.

On the contrary, another friend of mine got one and it worked fine. A matter of fact it looked identical to the helix.
