Hey guys ive noticed guys with my same mods running low 12s. and about 5 mph faster. my mods are listed in my sig but why are my times still slower? could it be where my cam gears are set? or possibly the tune from TT?

your 1/8MPH seems OK but your trap speed is a little on the low side. Have you done a boost leak test recently?

What kind of boost level are you running? Traps are slow for sure. Whats the elev.? I was running about the same times and traps last year but without cams. With a better '60 you would be low 12's.

Your right i have seen many faster times with your mods. But what track were u at? I dont know were joplin is but altitude can be a factor here... Lots of things could be causing this.. something with your car could for sure be one of them, also your driving/shifting speed. Then u also have things like head wind on the track and humidity. Sometimes i go out to the track and my car can trap around 4mph slow, Just because its humid or headwinds. With my mods my 1/8 mile has seen anywhere from 84mph to 88 mph and 1/4 mph traps or 107-110 just pending on the day i goto the track.

Yes you definitely have an issue somewhere, run a boost leak test to ensure you are not losing air anywhere, then pull the limiter to help out on the launch. Other things to consider are lowering the tire pressure to 25PSI or lower if still not grabbing and just practice shifting. I have pretty much the same setup as you (I have straight 272's w/no cam gears) and I have run 12.2@112 on the stock clutch.
