Anyway, my first RRE no-name lasted me a mere 20k and only about 10 passes at the track before it was completely gone. I'm on my second RRE no-name clutch (about 9k on it so far), and don't plan on doing any more drag racing in the future. I really do not recommend it at all for any type of drag racing. It does, however, hold up rather well to street abuse and road racing (thus far at least).
And fwiw, it's not an ACT, it's an Exedy.

Yes, that's what I do, but that's because I could feel a significant drop in power at high rpm in 1st after a hard launch. It is like all the engine's breath gets used up launching from 6k with full boost instantaneously, so I started shifting the 1-2 earlier. Another benefit of that is it becomes much easier to nail the 1-2 every time. I actually have never missed it in the Evo in 200 passes (that I can remember).
