C6ZO6 vs. Evo?

Has anyone with a GT30 or larger run a new ZO6? I am curious how an evo on race gas with a bigger turbo would do against a stock Z running 126 traps? Your thoughts.

Thinking of racing with the car in your signiture?

only way to find out is get on their boards and see what ET's they're getting. The lowest ET wins in my opinion

I believe they are around 11.5 ETs with good drivers...

IMO its the one who passes the finish line first is who wins. I could run 11's alll day but if someone who runs 12's kills me out of the hole to beat me even though he ran a slower et he wins the race. However, as long as you are decisive at the tree and you know how to drive then it shouldbe no problem beating someone if your et's are similar.

good luck.

With a Gt35r making 450+ to the wheels you should have no problems.

I have never raced a c6 zo6 before however, from seeing one run at qualcomm it is pretty beasty. It was a completely stock car and it ran a 8.9 (dont remember exactly the trap)with a horrible launch. However, qualcomm has always been known as a shabby track. Even the brand new vipers have only been running like 8.7 which I seen a stock one the other day at barona run a 8.3 on stock tires.

So I would imagine the z06 is capable of low to mid 8sec 1/8.

Most are running mid to high 11's but there are a few guys out there with slicks running 11 flat's!!! I know of a few who are trying to break into the 10's stock with just slicks.

I raced my Evo 8 MR the same night a orange/brownish color Z06 c6 vette was racing. My Evo was about 1 tenth slower than the Vette.
The vette ran a few 12.5s and a 12.3 best with drag radials with average speeds of 112-115mph, he then spray NOS and ran a 11.1@128.

Keep in mind this was in Tucson(SIR 3100ft). Also two weeks ago a C6 regular vette(400hp) ran a best of 14.1.

I also have a race this weekend with a new z06 probably from a 40 mph roll. How do you guys think I will fare with 515whp?

The C6Z06 is no joke, however I've seen a video of a built Buschur 2.3L Stroker
with a GT35. The Evo owned the Vette in that video.

It was somewhere on streets-of-fire.
