Not true, its all up to the driver and the right selection of mods. I ran consistant 11.9's@115-116 with the stock turbo @21psi and 92oct with a mail in flash. This was with 1.7-1.8 '60's. With a custom tune and traction 11.8's or better would be easy.

I say to the poster congratulations. I'm sure you can probably get a little more out of it as I say a simple bolt on evo with GT35R should be good for mid 11s @ 120-122 on straight pump and low boost but you are getting there.
That's fine and of course it can't do it on pump!! Quite a few have run much faster with a better trap too. Go drive a 118mph trapping stock turbo car and then go drive a 120mph 35R car running pump and tell me which one is more fun to drive..okay?

To each his own good run regardless 120mph is a fast streetcar. Enough of offtopic glta.

Hmm... I dont know about that 11.8 @118mph. That number can be had with the stock 16g if the person can drive and has the right mods. I did a 13.0 @ 118 with a 2.4 sixty foot with a 3076r and flash. I just slapped on a 35r and Im wiaiting to get tuned. All I want is a 122+ mph, I really dont care about E.T's. Then again a 35r starts to shine above 25psi.

i hear u, 118mph stock turbo will be much more fun to drive than the laggier bigger turbo, to drive a stock turbo to 118mph is not easy and needs a very good driver. Majority of us here are not good driver, so we upgrade to a bigger turbo to achieve those time.

I ran 12.1@114mph on a stock turbo (after numerous try and needs some luck), ran a 11.8@118mph on a 50trim on a second try.

Nothing is easy. I got a custom tune once and went slower.

You can count on one hand how many people have run a supposed "21 psi" and pump gas and put it into the 11's. It's just not the norm for the stock turbo.

Yes, but the majority of the time its not the turbo holding people back. Its bad driving or mismatched parts or a bad tune.

It would be like a hunter who cant hit his target because he is a bad shot and the gun isn't sighted in. Instead of practicing and learning equipment and sighting it in properly he goes out and buys a howitzer cause its easier.

umm trust me I know my car runs 11.5@118 stock turbo. However I do know the difference between a maxed out setup and a car just starting to show it's potential.

You are saying this for what I know the difference too and we're not talking about potential or maxed out combinations are we. If your goal is 11's there is no need to swap out the stock turbo.
