I just read in R&T magazine that an RS ran a 13.00 at 104.9mph, 0-60 of 4.4sec, and 0-100 of 11.8sec.

My bone stock evo 9 gsr ran 8.0-8.1 in the 1/8 with a trap of 86-87mph. Most likely that wouldve been a 12sec 1/4mile run.

However, I am sure someone has done it before.

hell people have run 12.9 even on a stock VIII so 12's on a stock IX should be more common. I could swear I read about a guy running a 12.7 on their stock IX here.

Yeah there have been several, and honestly there should be a hell of a lot more, I mean the power is there. I already pointed this out in a previous post, but the driving skill has been lacking, myself included. Well a 2006 STI just recently ran 12.8@104mph (they usually go low to mid 13s@99-102mph), those sons of a b*tches LOL! Dude was way low 1.7s 60fts, all the most recent IXs that are running very low 13s are like hitting 60fts at best 1.8s, most are 1.9s and 2.0s .

The trap speeds are more indicative of power and the Evo IX's have trapped much higher in stock form than the STi's counterparts.

No argument here, the EVO IX is more powerful than the STi/STI, anybody who says differently really has taken the time to look at the evidence and is speaking more on opinion than on factual evidence. Still it bothers me a little that new IX owners are having so much trouble launching their cars, and before they master this they are already modded, due to how easily this car can be modded.

there seems to be a big difference between the 5000 rpm stock limiter vs. launching at a flashed 6000rpms.
