Well my 2step is @6000 and my rev limt is @7700..
Well what I do is gas pedal to the floor pull up on the e-brake and just let the clutch out a bit till I feel the car preload And when the light turns green go!!!!!!!

What launch technique did you use? I hear you bouncing off the rev limiter, did you set it to 6000rpm? Sounds a bit lower at 5000rpm?

Warrtalon recommends i think 6000rpm and letting the clutch out quick (not dumping), but on my Evo IX, if i do that the clutch just slips (yes i'm on stock clutch). I find if I set the rev limiter to 5000rpm, i still dont bog but I dont get too much clutch slippage either. I am guessing because the IX has more torque perhaps? I tried 3000rpm that doesn't work. I have yet to try 4000 or 4500rpm, but I suspect it may bog.
