1st I have a upgraded clutch!!.. 2 sec I have have seen a difference between just rolling passed the burnout box and doing a quick launch to clean off the tires!!
Because at IRWINDALE SPEEDWAY they really like to spray alot in the burnout box..

The 1/8th mile tracks around here suck. You pick up rocks and other stuff rolling through the staging lanes, so rolling through the water box and cleaning off the tires helps.

Nice!

What launch technique did you use? I hear you bouncing off the rev limiter, did you set it to 6000rpm? Sounds a bit lower at 5000rpm?

And on green, did you basically floor the throttle and dump the clutch, or did you do something different?

Warrtalon recommends i think 6000rpm and letting the clutch out quick (not dumping), but on my Evo IX, if i do that the clutch just slips (yes i'm on stock clutch). I find if I set the rev limiter to 5000rpm, i still dont bog but I dont get too much clutch slippage either. I am guessing because the IX has more torque perhaps? I tried 3000rpm that doesn't work. I have yet to try 4000 or 4500rpm, but I suspect it may bog.
