First time at the track today!

Went to the track today with some local Evo's for the first time ever, and was suprisingly pleased with my results. Ran the car several times and got my best time of the day on my last pass... 12.63 @ 107 with a 1.8 60 ft.

Only mods are a cat-back with test pipe, drop in filter, and a base flash.

Can't wait to go back when I get a downpipe and boost controller.

Lovin' that Mivec!

89mph in the 1/8th and you end up with 107mph at the end of the 1/4 mile, did you let off or something?

It was hard to see where the 1/4 ended, they didn't have it marked very well. And I think I was shifting to 5th instead of hanging out 4th, because one time that I didn't shift to 5th I trapped 109.

I don't think he hit 89.xx in the 1/8th.

It's wrong. I hit 8.0@84 on my 12.8 run back when I had just an SAFC, and my 60' was also a high 1.7 (1.76). Kinda hard to hit be 2/10s slower on a similar 60' with an extra 5mph, plus your 1/4 mph doesn't indicate a car that hits 89 in the 1/8th either.. 89mph should put you deep into the 7s at the 1/8th. With 1.7s, I do 7.8 @ 87...

You shouldn't be shifting to 5th until you're trapping over 115. You don't hit the stock rev limiter until you're trapping around 112, and with a flash, your rev limiter should be raised. If it's not raised, then raise it, then rag out 4th through the end...

I didn't think I'd ever post something that you could contest, and especially not a timeslip; and I wasn't looking to e-battle you here. But...

I have about 7 timeslips here that indicate an 88 or 89 mph trap speed in the 1/8th.

And if you ran 8.0@84 in your eighth with a 12.8 run, and I ran a 8.1@89 during a 12.6, who's to say that is an impossible feat? The launch could have been better; thus lowering my E.T., but there's no reason to contradict something that's black and white. There's nothing to say that your car and what you ran are gospel facts and things that everyone should take into account; every car is different.

People don't go to the track and say, "Well I trapped 89 on my 8.1 eighth mile, but Warrtalon only trapped 84 with a 8.0, so this track and timeslip MUST be wrong!"

Just because it's better than you, doesn't mean it's not legit.

And again, this was my first time at the track, there's obviously some things I did wrong. Next time I go I'm sure that I'll be able to drop my time a few tenths...just takes practice.
