Pratice will make it a little faster. The launch/60 ft is where you can pick up the most time. search for launch techniques here in the Drag racing forum. the MPH seems about right for lightly modded EVO. I think you will get a 12.8 or 12.9 next time if you get a good launch. Good luck and keep us posted.

I theink your car may be pulling timing up top because run 2 was better than 1 but the mph is lower and a little off but a 1.6-1.7 60 ft will net you a 12.65-12.73 @107.50 mph thats if its not pulling timing because the boost should be stable up top in 4th the best way to check that is to add a little race gas just to see what happens like under 1/4 tank pump and 2-3 galons for 100 oct and watch the mph to see if its goes up.
Unless you can doo a datalog and check for knock then you would know whats up

Definately low traps for the mods and high boost. Should be easy 107+mph. 1/8 mile traps look low also.
Ever did a boost leak, plugs, comp. check, ect....
Timing might be getting pulled but no way of knowing without logging. Was it sputtering/cutting out during 3rd and 4th gear ?

25 psi? I'm pretty sure your not tuned for it on 93oct.
What boost were you tuned at? Any idea what your AFR's at?

Only 2 runs was a waste, especially after $20 in racefuel and not having enough time to cycle through the fuel system.

Next time you are in that position, take the car out of the dragway and make a few passes on the street to get the high test pumping through prior to running again.

With only 2 runs, with crappy launches I would say that there is not enough data to support any verdict.

The car already shows 12.8 with a good launch. I am interested to see your are able to make 4-6 passes the next time out so we have enough data to analyze.

I had a customer last Fri run a 12.6, then out of the blue run a 12.3 on pump the next pass. Its all about a chain of events working in harmony from launch, to shift RPM to shift speed and so on.

2005 Evo RS

MODS:

TBE
Megan manifold
Megan 02
Hallman MBC
Fuel Pump
KN drop in
TTP Custom Tune
Stock Clutch and Stock 5000 rpm 2-step

RUN 1:

60': 1.918
1/8: 8.354
MPH: 82.75
1000: 10.904
1/4: 13.020
MPH: 105.57

RUN 2:

60': 1.887
1/8: 8.376
MPH: 83.48
1000: 10.948
1/4: 13.075
MPH: 104.62

Please feel free to critique, offer suggestions, etc. It feels like the car might be pulling timing in 3rd and 4th. I added 110 leaded after the first run but I don't think it had a chance to get to the injectors for the 2nd run. I had 1/4 tank 93 when I added the race gas.

Your trap speed is low for your mods. I trapped that in my stock 2005 evo 8 with ssl. Like someone said it looks like you are pulling timing up top. I think that 25 psi is a little high for pump gas as well which would explain you pulling some timing.

25psi is the spike, not the boost on the top. There are many tuners that tune for 26psi spikes, especially on Evo IX with longer plugs (anti detonation quality).

If a tuner adjusts the ignition timing according to the boost level, you could run 30psi if you wanted to on pump with no knock.

Those are the facts.

so you ran race gas without the car reading it? or a base flash picks it up?
