Those mods will put down around 310 whp (obviously i'm guessing) on an VIII. As for the track times a lot depends on the driver mod.

you should have more than 310 whp.. especially with those mods and a good tune.. assuming it was done by AMS.. i was gussing the 350whp range

415(.8)=332 [totally made up number] i'd say somewhere in 320 range w/ a good tune

First off, we don't use the drag racing forum for bench racing. When the track opens, go see what you do, then post here. It makes no sense for us to guess, especialy when you're telling us estimated CRANK numbers. The mere fact that the previous owner tried to tell you estimated crank numbers says a LOT to me, because there's no way to estimate crank numbers. The only thing that matters is what you put to the ground, and you get that from a dyno. WHP is what matters and is all that is discussed. So, did he not tell you what it put to the wheels? There's only 2 reasons the guy would tell you crank numbers:

1) He has no fricking clue and was just giving you a line of BS with a random guess based loosely off his mods and what the AMS website says, OR

2) He realized YOU had no clue, so instead of telling you 330whp (or whatever), he fed you an estimated crank HP, since he knew that would light up your eyes.

Which do you think it was?

Welcome to the forums, If there is any1 who knows their stuff it is Warrtalon. Only thing is i would have to disagree with one statement. "WHP is all that matters." Well techniacally dyno numbers mean nothing except to help tune, no two dynos read exactly the same. What you run down the 1320 is what really matters! Not poking at you Warrtalon, cause i wish i knew half as much as you do about the evo. Im just stating what i think..

Anyway like i said Welcome to the forums and good luck with the evo, it's beautiful!

Pinky, that's a separate issue. I'm referring to crank vs WHP. Of course, dyno numbers by themselves mean nothing, but they mean a whole lot more than some guy's random guess at crank HP.

and if u call "based lightly" owning 3 in the past, an MR currently, and having a close friend with the same model with the same mods, that put down those numbers then fine
Uh, what? Put down WHAT numbers? You said "estimated it at 415 at the crank," and are now saying you know someone with the same mods who "put down those numbers"? Haha, do you realize what you're saying? You can't "put down" numbers at the crank - there is no measurement for that unless he used an engine dyno, and I'm 100% sure that didn't happen. Also, if you already know multiple people with the same mods, then why are you asking us to guess when you should already know?

i had a question about a 1/4mi time its not pertinent here ?
No, you had a question about bench racing. When your track opens and you get some timeslips, then you will have questions about drag racing. We have no idea what shape that car is in and no idea what power it's making, so there's no way we can guess what you'll do. We also don't know what track you'll be at, what the weather conditions will be, how sticky it is, how well you drive, if you've ever launched an AWD car with 300+wta, if you have a clue where to shift, if the car has boost leaks, what tires you have, what octane you'll use, what boost you're running, etc etc etc. Therefore, it's bench racing. Go to the track and report back.

What would I have to be jealous about?
