Just picked up an Evo9 RS last week!
Went to the track last night with MBC spiking 23psi, K&N, and a flash from Billet Design. I was very surprised when I got this the first pass.

Completely stock exhaust. Hoping to go back wed with dp/tp for some 11's. The car weighed in at 3150 in case anyone was wondering.

great run, that 1/8 MPH is especially strong, what's done to it weight reduction wise?

Im going to throw the testpipe and downpipe on with stock catback, sleeper factor . I removed the spare tire and jack and had a 1/4 tank of gas. I would love to get it down into the 2xxx range.

i really need to weigh my car, i have no clue what it weighs with that stuff removed

and if you keep the stock cat-back on there i would just have the test pipe cut out somewhere so you can open it up at the track and keep it quiet on the street, that would be awesome

Congrats! Nice run. The clutch conversation was cracking me up. It's always nice to have friends ready and willing help you spend more money on your ride.

He doesn't need a cutout if using the stock cat-back. It will still be very quiet with the test pipe and stock catback. He doesn't really need the DP, but it's not a big deal either way. The TP will give 10-15whp, so that alone won't put him in the 11s, but he will get much closer with the same driving.

Mcwop, also, the weight isn't that low. I'm pretty sure that was car weight without driver. My MR weighs in right at 3125 on the scales without weight reduction but with the 1/4-tank and the usual suspects: removed spare/tools/jack, lighter aftermarkets parts (exhaust, coilovers, tec). He will be able to get that 3150 down quite a bit if he wants. The TP alone will save a good amount right off the bat...

PS. IXs are sick.

I didn't realize they weighed so little with just the standard weight redux. Do they consider a full tank of gas when they determine curb weight?
