Hamflex, you really have no idea what you're talking about. Leave this to the people who DO know what they're talking about. You can argue with the people running 34psi and trapping over 120mph on the stock turbo if you want. KO doesn't "know" anything special about the boost levels - he knows what pretty much all of us know about race gas and boost on the stock turbo. Evilevo can run 25...26...27...35...whatever. Most of us can't even get over 29 on our stock turbo, and that's what KO suggested for an VIII with 10.5 hotside. That's basically maxing it out, so like I said, there's really no limit. He can run anything over his current 23psi and make more power. None of us can tell him what will make the most sustainable and repeatable power. He has to find that out on his own.

Except that a circle track means you aren't going the same distance except for on the straight portions of the track, which have to be small unless this is a NASCAR track or something.

so you are saying that by taking a car with no tune what so ever and filing the tank with race gas and raising the boost to idk 26 psi the car will just be ok with that?

Now dont get me wrong warr, your 100 percent right. he wouldnt need a RE-TUNE to do this but on a stock car this would raise problems. And origianlly he had not posted if he had a tune are not so now that he says he has a tune......More power to him and his car

Yes, it will be ok. I have done it and many others have done it. Plus, this guy already has a tune, so I don't know why you keep talking about untuned cars. We knew the whole time he had a tune...

No, it would not cause ANY PROBLEMS on a stock car. I can't understand why you keep saying that. Not sure what you did wrong on your car, but it is NOT NORMAL.

I was only saying 100 octane seems a little on the low side to max out the turbo. Is that race gas in which you use? Or do you prefer a higher octane?

Every time I rocked out on the drag strip with "race gas," it was just a mixture of what was in my tank and what I got at the track. Sometimes it was 104 and other times it was 110. My net octane was sometimes below 100 and sometimes just above 100. I always gained around .3s and 3mph over my pump gas runs...sometimes more if it was a hot day.

it is a circle track. here is how we are plaining to do it. as wee come around the bend onto the straight part that is where we will start are war. so hiting 130or close to it should not be a broblem

I was actually going to suggest this, but i didn't want to deal with all the implecations of all the whiners. If i were to do it again, i would probably just turn my MBC all the way up, and datalog. I highly doubt anyone would see any knock counts...

Efficeint power is not made on whatever boost you want. Especially if you are only running 100 octane. Listen to KOevo, sounds like he knows whats up when it comes to 100 octane and boost settings.
Almost everything i know i heard from Warr first... Just some food for thought.

But i do see where you are coming from when you said 100 octane just seems too low to just go all out, because i thought the same thing. ..Until i did it, and couldn't get any knock counts.

True, you guys better line up correctly out of those corners or someone is going to be ahead or faster than the other person...

I don't see whey we reply to these for a couple days.... When they should just get out there and race... If you lose to the cobra o well. If you have to beat him get some more mods and race again. Quite whining about a circle track, race gas, etc. and just go do it.

It doesn't matter if you do beat him, there are always 809134 people faster than you anyhow.
