California Speedway Drag on 2/10/07
Just writing to see if anyone here went to the drags on Saturday...what are your results? Looked like many cars were running somewhat slow times (S2000 doing high 14s/mid 15s and Rx-8 doing 16s
). I did 3 runs:
Run # 60 ft 1/4 ET MPH
1 1.883 13.021 105.33
2 2.006 13.253 105.89
3 1.916 13.044 107.68
Not too bad for the first time running my evo

I also at the races and thought most of the quarter mile times for the Evo were decent. I talked to the S2000 that ran (yellow one) and he missed a gear on all three runs which didn't help his time. There was a white evo with a JDM rear bumper that ran 12.6 with only a exhaust, boost controller, and intake. The average times were 12.8 for the Evo's with one doing a 14.8. I talked to the slow guy and it was his first time. I plan on running my Evo at the Street Legal races on April 07, 2007. Anybody else plan on going? Maybe we could get a little evo group!!

I'll be there on Apr 7 with the new Shep tranny and some tweaks for the car to help myself get into the mid-low 11s easier. Haha, it's so funny that the car trapped 125.5 mph (that's like hot-rod trap) and did 12.1.
Are you going with the 4.11 final drive gear when your tranny is built. I'm also going to buy a shep tranny. It should be done before April 7th. It will be so nice to have 2nd gear again.
Remember, for the Street Legal races at the California Speedway on April 07, 2007 you have to be at the gates at 6:00 a.m. if you want a guaranteed spot (limit 400 cars). Look for my license plate; it says 'V8RSLOW'.
