Fastest 6spd?

Before i get flamed bc of course i know the 6speed sucks, But for u MR guys who still have the 6 speed in ur car and actually drag race it. What are the fastest times u have gone? I know after taking mine to the track this weekend shifting into 5 gear right before the lights sucks big time. But with a 2.012 60ft and still managing to run a 12.52 i hope my car will only get faster. But im just wondering who has the fastest 6spd car and how they are making out shifiting into 5th before the lights.

You shouldn't be thinking about 5th gear with power like that. I believe Trevor has gone the fastest on the 6spd with an 11.1-11.2 shifting to 5th on a 20g-9-5 from Buschur.

Many of us have gone much faster than 12.5 on the stock 6spd while staying in 4th. Learn to launch, then don't shift to 5th until you're trapping over 116mph.

You won't get to your rev limiter at 8k in 4th unless you're trapping 117 or so. Stay in 4th unless you're actually faster than that.

I ran an 11.147@123.97mph today with the 6spd and Exedy Twin Disc (non HD). I have had the Exedy for about 7,000 miles, well over 300 launches, and lots of Solo 2 (autox).

Well it would help if he would post his trap speeds but if he ran a 12.5 with a 2.0 60' then he has decent power.

Decent, but not enough to warrant a shift to 5th, imo.

SICK!!!Congrats on the awesome times, knocking on the door of 10's..You are making me want to get this fp green, plus I have an E85 station 5 miles from my house It would be cheaper to have a seperate E85 map then it would for race gas but I am just wondering if the injectors would be able to handle the difference on the stock ECU and still get drivability in pump gas mode (higher volume of course)..

so if you have a 6 speed you should not shift to 5th unless you trap 115

Yeah, Trevor looks like the fastest 6 speed MR times within the US but Autoplus from the Philipines are in the 9s with the 6 speed though.

my latest record a few months ago was...
1/4- 11.57 @ 119
1/8th- 7.4 @ 94
I hate going into 5th, I actually shift into 5th early now in the 1/4, at about 6800rpm.

Well, this is reassuring. Hope mine lasts a long time.

was this all done a completely stock 6 speed? I've been reading the threads about 5 speed vs 6 speed (about how 4th gear is weaker) but looking for people with real experience dragging the 6 speed.
