Ran at Gainesville Raceway 4/11/07, sort of disappointed

DA was around 1500' or so, pretty warm and humid. Sort of disappointed by my results. Can't figure out the launch on this new clutch for some reason.

Pump Gas 23PSI:

r/t: .776
60': 1.777
330: 5.106
1/8: 7.905
MPH: 85.64
1000: 10.336
1/4: 12.363
MPH: 111.62

Race Gas ~ 25-26PSI:

r/t: .486
60': 1.854
330: 5.167
1/8: 7.939
MPH: 87.74
1000: 10.316
1/4: 12.305
MPH: 113.55

Reason I'm disappointed is i ran a 12.40@112 on pump back in November with my mail-in flash which was 35WHP and 42WTRQ ago. However the DA that night was -1000' or so. Other than the launch is that a big reason why my traps aren't that great?

Traps arent that bad for your power, the ET's need some faster shifting though!

Not really. The outside temp wasn't that bad.

Mcwop, you should definitely be seeing 115mph traps and better times. Yeah, the launches can improve, but a 1.77 is not atrocious. Be sure to do all the normal checks - boost leak test, fresh spark plugs, log your runs to see if the tune is knocking in 4th in the warmer weather.

1500' DA will have a slight effect, but not a big one vs 0-500'. Last time I ran, the DA was 9000', haha, and I also was running 12.3s.

another thought it on the launch i believe my 2-step is set at 61-6200 rpm. I am getting a good amount of tirespin (from 26psi through 35 psi in the tires) and i end up dipping into the 4K rpms range on my launches. Should I set it a little bit lower to reduce the wheelspin and maybe get it to hook a little better?

Lower the tire pressure more.

If you're spinning, the engine should not be bogging down. That's counter-intuitive. You only bog the RPMs when the tires grab too much. When you spin, the RPMs shoot up towards the rev limiter, so I'm not sure if you're accurately explaining what's happening.

i'm probably not. It never did that on the stock clutch so it was confusing me.
