Wow, I didn't realize he was making dyno claims based off EvoScan. That's not...good.

Are you 100% certain on that? I've read numerous statements stating otherwise.

Regardless... I am getting a custom dyno tune in 2 weeks... I will have a real dyno sheet and I can put some of these unknowns to bed.

Am I 100% certain of what? Where have you read any statement saying not to rev beyond 7200??? It's common knowledge that you can rev much higher than that. Why would Mitsu put the rev limiter at 7606rpm if you couldn't rev that high safely? I haven't touched the internals of my head other than to add cams, and I've probably revved beyond 7200rpms over 500 times. There's no way to even count how many times I've revved that high. With over 250 drag runs, all of which went above 7200 (4th gear), a bunch of track days (4th and 5th gear), probably 200+ autocross runs above 7200 (1st and 2nd gear), and almost once a day for 2.5 years on the street (1st and 2nd gear), so I'd say that's a very tame rpm level.

you need to get on a dyno, that evoscan "dyno" looks really bad.

Look at my dyno cart in my sig, it seems fairly typical of most evos with my mods and we pretty much have the same mods except for your cat

mate its what Warr is saying... The stock car has a 7606rpm rev limiter. You think Mitsubishi would give such a rev limiter if it wasn't safe for the car?

Usually flashed Evos have a 7800rpm rev limiter and thats safe again! At least don't go lower than stock...

Yo uremind me a guy i saw one day at the shop, who heard his Subaru hitting the rev limiter and he was STUNNED!!!
