New personal best

Went to Import Showdown ready to run VP import and 31 psi, but after making a couple passes we realized something was wrong. I could only run 24 psi. We switched my perrin controller with a manual controller and the same 24 psi. I tried turning the controller both directions but it would stay at 24 psi no matter what I tried.

Oh well, on to the good news.

11.1 @ 123 mph 1.62 60'

I ran numerous 11.1 @ 123 mph with my 60' in the 1.62 - 1.66 range.

When I have time I will try and figure out what is causing the boost to be so low.

I should have a video up by the end of the week.

I'll post the slip up when I get back in town on Saturday.

Anybody have an idea as to why boost won't raise up? I was using a Perrin boost controller controlling it through AEM, then we tried a Hallman manual with the same problem. The night before I was running 31 psi with no problem. Weird.

All the vacuum lines looked good. Can a Tial 44mm wastegate act up out of the blue like that? Spring stick?

Yeah, when I get back in town I'm going to take it apart and check the spring.

I found one of my slips in my truck. The rest are in the glove box of the Evo. I don't think its my best run, but at least it will give you and idea.

Thanks, I'm on BFG drag radials. I kept lowering my tire pressure and my 60' kept dropping.

I started at 24 psi and was cutting 1.66's and dropped the pressure to 20 psi and cut a couple 1.62's. I didn't know if 18 psi or lower would be ok so I just left it at 20 psi.

I was spinning all the way through 1st gear and half of 2nd gear. It was awesome!

I think a boost leak test is in order.

If you have a coupling thathas maybe just a hairline crak or rip that is opening up at 24psi that would cause a low boost condition as well.

Yeah, that was strange. You put up a pretty good time yourself Matt. That 60' is good for as slick as the track was.
