1/4 mile times slower w/humidity
How much can muggy weather really affect your 1/4 mile times. I ran a 12.689 with a 1.975 sixty foot in weather that was sunny and warm (69 degrees in April)
I just ran tonight, 8:30 PM, 9:00 PM, 9:30 PM. Its muggy out, had a quick rain storm, but not enough to cancel the racing. about 60 degrees.
I ran a 12.82 three times, sixty foot times in the 1.799, 1.815, 1.801
How can I be that much slower with a much more improved sixty foot? Can the muggy weather have that much affect?
I was figuring I should have been in the 12.3's or 12.2's with those 60's
My trap speed was 109mph, same as back in April. I did notice my 1/8 mile times were almost 4mph slower tonight compared to April, but the final trap speed was the same.
Any thoughts?

No...the shifting was the same. Each shift around 7200 rpm. My concern if its not the moisture in the air...is that I lost my flash to the ECU possibly. I had work done on the car a few weeks ago on the transmission, and they disconnected the battery during the work.

If our ECU forgot it's own programming each time the battery was disconnected, we'd all be in a world of hurt.
Also, you trapped the same, so you had the same power...not sure why you'd think you lost your tune.
As for the shifting, I'm not talking about you thinking you shifted the same. I'm sure you think you shifted the same, but to have a better 60' and the same trap, there just no way you can run slower, and it certainly wasn't because of humidity.

Well...I found out what my issue was. At least its not my driving or the weather
I lost the flash on my ECU. Either the dealer reflashed it back to stock during the warranty repair work, or ?
I just know its gone.
So...until I get it reflashed (and I am hoping soon), I'll just have to get used to 60 less horsepower or so

You said your traps were the same both times, so there's no way you have 60whp less, and it's unlikely that there is any difference whatsoever.
Flashes don't "go away." They are nothing but a reprogramming of the ECU. The ECU could have been reprogrammed back to a stock map MAYBE, but then it would just have different values in the ROM. What is it that lets you know it was programmed back to stock?

I am back to the stock rev limiter. I had a two step before. I also downloaded my ecu map with ECUFlash, and its stock. I did the test with the clutch all the way in, and the car sitting still. Revved it...and it would only go to 5100 rpms. It used to go to close to 6000 rpms (Buschur flash)

I am going by what Al told me via email regarding the two step. I have not compared values as I am having a problem actually seeing any values. I downloaded my flash using ECUFLASH and I get the message “The current map description is invalid or incomplete. Please edit the map description to fix the problem and the map will be viewable again” when I click on one of the fields. For example the Rev Limit field. I click on the box to edit and I get that message above.

I guess the odd question is how did I lose just the two step? Well, hopefully Al can shed some light on the topic. I had sent him my flash file on Friday.
