Just so you know 94awdcoupe, the tires he running on are just like some of the tires used in the street class at events. I have an all motor crx and was racing a nopi event, and they merged turbostreet with the allmotor street class. All motor could use full blown slicks, turbostreet had to use drag radials. The turbo cars in the class were pretty much on mickey thompsons with like 3 grooves in them(cheaterslicks), but they still qualified for street class. And believe me these are worse than the bfgoodrich.

I consistantly were out drag radials in 2500 miles or less. street radials last 15000-60000 miles. and you are going to tell me drag radials and radials are same ? give it a rest.
Ive have 3 sets of tires
1) My street tires
2) My Hoosier qt pros
3) My MT ET Drags
All i was doing with the with the BFG drags radials i had was breaking parts from wheel hop. There good tires but harder on the drivetrain.
The street tires i just limted my boost to 23mph than it would ramp up. which would keep me from wheel spin.
The Hoosiers would play havoc on my acd systems and i would do front wheel burnouts than my rears would lock up 2 sec later

The MT ET drags hook like no ones business and man do they make my takes offs so much easier on my drivetrain

On the BFG tires i was on the freeway coming back from umm lets say the local watering hole and we came into a corner at about 120mph....well the car just turned into a drift car and started going sideways. I agree the side walls suck ****

Rob...have you tried making a pass on true bias-ply slicks? I can't recall whether you have or not.
