I ran the same trap speed in my IX (similar mods) and I ran out of gear also. I bought a Bushwacker Trans with the VIII 4th gear, I installed it last night in my garage. Hopefully, I will have some track numbers of what I can trap now with longer gears.

Perfect example of the correct modification path. Everything the car needs, nothing it doesnt. Great trap speed for 93 octane. I bet the Race FMIC helped more than most people think it would on the stock turbo. Good driving too!

I've only ran my Evo about 24 times now. Each time I get better and better. I have at least 400 passes under my belt from past cars (awd & fwd...no rwd)..Pratice makes perfect

nice runs!

i put taller tires on the car to compensate 255/45's

gives you a few extra mph you need...

Update: Ran a 11.79 @ 119.6 mph the other day Power shifting gave me a few more mph. That run was only a 1.73 sixty though, the track was cold and the air was very humid. With a low 1.6 and a 119 mph trap I should see 11.5's

I'm thinking of trying some C16 in her and turn up the boost a hair this coming week.

Hmm, powershifting definitely would not add 2+ mph like that. Were you spinning out of the hole? If so, that would explain the abnormal jump in mph. 119 is hard to believe on pump gas, wow.

StreetThis....(MX6?) Nice Driving!

Tossing race gas or alchy at the car will turn it into an animal. I don't think the stock clutch will like that too much.

If you put in C16 you better crank up the boost more than just a touch. I love my alchy inj. I run the same tune 24/7 and use boost to limit how crazy I want to get (EBC).

I would love to see an EVOScan log from a pass as well.

Ya I was spinning pretty hard core out of the hole. We have a video of me spinning and smoke pouring off the tires haha. The track was also 15 - 20 degrees colder that night. So I'm sure the colder air helped me out as well.
